It's going to be a long wait... So pumped!

I love the look of Lambos but can't stomach the douche factor

My build is currently white weissach, but this has me thinking again or painting the full bumper. Would have loved a nice gunmetal option for the car

In other news, here's white.
Man I am torn on this. I thought the white on black cf would look awesome. This almost looks like too much contrast. Back on the fence.

how does porsche justify the premium over a rs or gen 2 gt3? i cant fathom what is costing an extra 100k? this car is price out of tune with rest of porsche line up.

I hope one of you guys get one soon. I have to compare this since the 675LT prices are dropping now. the GT2 RS has some effect I'm sure

They're not limiting the number of vehicles but they're demanding a higher premium, this way they control the numbers but also **** over flippers. Not ideal but ultimately better for the community.

Just a thought, do we need the forum name changed now there is a 2RS? Maybe "GT's & R" otherwise it'll get a bit long.

I'd order in white. I prefer the look of the standard wheels and full unpainted hood on the nonweissach cars.

Weissach package is really going to limit the colorization options.

Someone is going to check a wrong box and we are going to see an unhappy customer with this car eventually.

And then they mash the accelerator and all their color stitching concerns turn into magical rainbows.

Yes, I'm trying hard, but just can't convince myself to like any of the Weissach versions (other than black), as much as I like the same color on a 'standard' car. Striping + wheels are not as nice aesthetically, IMO.

Paying $30k to save 30kg, but making the car look less appealing, is something I'm struggling with in a non-competition car.

weissach yes or no - i could not decide... would have to flip a coin...

some technical stuff:

991GT2RS vs. Turbo gearing:

1. gear: 3.91
2. gear: 2.29
3. gear: 1.58
4. gear: 1.18
5. gear: 0.79

(1-5 gears are the same as in the 991 Turbo)

7. gear in the GT2 RS: 0.67
7. gear in the Turbo: 0.62

secondary/Axle/Diff:
991 GT2 RS : 3.96
991 Turbo: 3.44

991GT2RS speeds at 7200rpm:

1. : 62 km/h
2. : 105 km/h
3. : 152 km/h
4. : 203 km/h
5. : 241 km/h
6. : 284 km/h
7. : 335 km/h

the vmax of 340kph will be reached based on the 1,5% longer rolling circumference of the tires at those speeds.

340kph is important to be in line with the 720s.

997 turbo was allowed to have the limiter only in 6th 50rpm higher to reach 310kph back in the days. could be also the same at the 991GT2RS...

I agree with above on the WP. It's black, then red a distant second (and I'm not a red kind of guy), and then it falls off a cliff to everything else. There are only so many brush strokes you can make on the same canvas. The design team is grasping for ways to differentiate models.

I agree with most of what has been said ; black is the color for this car and it will look better w/o the Weissach package . If I end up with an allocation I wouldn't complain ( for a change ) about not being able to get PTS , but if I did it would be limited to a dark gray or dark blue . There is just way too much going on with the contrast clashes on this car - horrible really . I'd also do the all black interior with black stitching exactly as I did on my GT3 RS .

Canadian allocations doesn't get distributed out until the 4th quarter.

The only customers that can have a firm allocation is the 918 owners who still have their cars, which is around 15.

Is it only me or am I missing something? I cannot find information about how much is the boost value for new 991 GT2RS? (and maybe 991.2 Turbo S value)
Last Mezger 997 GT2 runs 1.4 bar and 997 GT2RS runs at even higher boost: 1.6 bar
