Why are people paying so much over when production numbers aren't even available? Is it just because they have to get it first? Crazy

I haven't heard what cars are going for in the UK

That would be me - same as I did on my GT3 RS . I think the deviated stitching is ''too much '' with it being on the doors , dash etc . Might be OK if it was just the seats , but the rest to me is just spending money ( and showing it ) just for the sake of it . Don't mean to offend anyone as I know everyone has a different take on it . Now .... about those painted vents etc - yikes ! What have these cars turned into !!!???

PS - Lighted door sills .

That's crazy!! But you know how some people are. They have to have it immediately they don't care how much it cost. I'll probably be one of those that come in at the end of production to get it at the MSRP

Nice. You get free deviated stitiching with Leather to Sample and I told exclusive black stitching on natural black leather interior. They were sort of surprised. I waffled a bit, but I am sticking with black. Agate is the only one I really considered, but i think it will look too brown next to black. I would love to see pics of it though if anyone has Agate stitching on black leather.

Default MSRP

The rumors here in Europe is that you contract the car directly with PAG at an fixed price and the dealers has an cut from that. The contract also includes that you have to put license plates on the car and can`t sell it before 6 months. This is to block flippers and collectors.
I`m supriced when I here you say that dealers Write contracts in US on 180 - 250 over MRSP.

To All

Just returned from a local concours (very high quality and quantity) that is well attended by both enthusiast and many regional dealers. Many of the high end dealers (Porsche, Maserati, Rolls, Mercedes, etc.) are also major sponsors and have tents and displays. There is really no new information, but after discussions with everyone from dealers, regionals, and VIPs. etc., regarding the GT2 RS I believe the following to be the current state in our area:

1) No one in our area has received an allocation
2) No one (dealer or otherwise) has any specific information that has been formally communicated by Porsche or Porsche NA concerning volume to be produced, (500 cars? 1000 cars? 2000 cars?) , nobody knows.
3) Porsche has encouraged dealers to submit genuine demand for the car from their customers into the system
4) Porsche has communicated that this car is not plaqued and numbered or limited, but has not explained what that really means (i.e., will not answer the question "if it is not limited, will all demand be produced?)

So, the bottom line is there is not alot of information. As I have communicated before, I am #2 at my dealer, small market, even without info my gut says I am out.

The most interesting comment I had from a dealer who is out of the area of the concours, but someone I know well and trust, told me with all the press and the spec on the car being much more attractive than was anticipated, he is receiving many calls. The same question for all, "I know I am late to the party, so just tell me, how much to cut the line?" As Martin points out, sometime we are our own worst enemy.

Sounds good. But how salomondrin got one is beyond me unless it was for click bait. I want one. I missed 997 GT2 launch I can't wait another 7-10 years for the next one.

I'm going to guess Porsche will have a production window for the car, they won't number the cars but only so many cars can be built in the window so order numbers are finite, either they'll fill the window or time will run out, other manufacturers do this. The uncertainty should put a lot of doubt into buyers flipping but not remove it as people will still want the newest and shiniest faster than anyone else. As for orders, if you want one show your interest early!

Yeah I saw salomondrin video on it. I don't like how it looks. The 675LT is a masterpiece to me. It withheld the test of time. I still love it despite the fact it's aging in this fast supercar production. 812, 720s, GT2RS etc
