Thinking back to the 2011 2RS I think the new Weissach 2RS looks much better. The last car with the unpainted hood just looked unfinished. At least the new car looks like they did it on purpose with the stripe and continuing over the roof.

Cars on the road, cars on the line, I am unfamiliar with the Porsche process here. Does anyone have clear information on what they are up to? I know the car is still in development, are all these cars being driven by Porsche drivers, or VIPs, etc. for the purpose of providing real life feedback. Very curious as to what is happening here? Thx

I do not believe the car is still in development. I would expect the cars on the line are customer cars.

I don't see how. It was just announced. Even if allocations were released, it takes time before production starts, usually at least a month or so. Got to get the 'just in time' parts all arranged.

Those may be media cars, executive cars, cars for PSDS, etc.

I thought AP said that the car still had a few months of final development left. I would expect that around the time they're done we'll see the ring time.

Someone pointed out that the FoS car had a GT3RS logo around the gear selector - I wouldn't be surprised if the suspension on that car was also the GT3RS suspension as the rose jointed suspension was still being fine tuned. But I wasn't there, so how would I know.

Just got back from my dealer and they said no GT2 allocations for them or any dealer in their system

My dealer said the same thing. Including none confirmed yet for their 918 customer.

Cars on the line are their test cars.

Official Ring try is not until Sept.

They are still fine tuning the car's settings from Goodwood till at least past the Ring attempt.

At Goodwood, they have already stated that they got another 5-6 months of development.
