You can order a Performante now and have it before the end of summer...car is pretty sweet...I'm just not a lambo guy...but that one has gotten my attention at least...to even find out when I could get it...
Yeah I love the Performante. I love the Huracan. But like you I don't think I'd want one. If I did it better be a V12. But that makes sense. Week 5 of 2018 and get it in March. I guess it won't kill you. I bet Mclaren will probably start talking about the 750LT by March or Summer
I spoke to Lars Kern, the development driver who did the 991.2 GT3 lap and he said that the 991 GT2RS is dialed towards being a widowmaker (more then a pace maker).
Not a lambo guy either but it is an appealing alternative given the 2 RS allocation uncertainty.
same. 3 dealers, 2 of whom told me no way, dealership isn't even getting a car, and if they do it's only for the 918 customer (mind you, I'm no.1 on the list at one of the dealers). 3rd and final dealer, said sure....150k for the spot. hahahhaha. no. Mclaren here I come.

With 700hp? Indeed.
Driving at any kind of pace on anything outside a closed course is going to feel like suicide squad. At least with all that torque we know it'll be tractable in traffic
....and still button blanks on the center console. It looks pretty ghetto as it sits.
I hear you, but look at the bright side: Do you prefer the blanks, or that hideous round 'sport' button on the steering wheel? Ha ha. At least the GT cars don't have it. The button blanks don't bother me that much on the Cayman GTS (X73) because it has 3 and 3. The scattered buttons on GT cars make that look worse IMO. No car is going to be perfect, so little things like that don't bother me anymore. But guess different things can bother us '****' types more than others. Ha ha. For instance, no way in hell I'd buy any of these cars without full leather; the ugly plastic dash looks worse than a Hyundai. What I don't like is Porsche having the highest profit margin per car in the car biz; that's not getting our money's worth. If they can't justify getting rid of the freaking McPherson suspension because it'd be more expensive, at least fix little things like that, which would give the car a more luxurious feel. But as you said, for a public company, $0.01 is good enough for them to save. Profit is the #1 priority of ALL public companies, whether they admit it in public or not. So we have to live with crap like that. And for consolation, compare switchgear with other cars, and you'd see ours is not the worst.

I just work with the same dealer, currently have a GT3 and Panny Hybrid Wagon on order - 2RS would put me at $650k of current orders with Porsche.
The whole process is a mess on all orders. My CXX options/PTS were approved on the 5/11th and still waiting for pricing/finalization. Had my 2RS deposit for years and number 1 slot but pretty close to just moving on.
It feels more and more like a job buying Porsches now. My last purchase was a McLaren after years of just Porsches.

150K??? I had one tell me she (my broker) sold a allocation contract for 160K. Your best bet probably would be to do what I'm doing and getting it overseas and shipping it in. You can get in on the "substantially similar" clause. For example, the F12 Berlinetta is like nearly 220k-250K starting in Europe and even found a brand new one 2017 for 280k+ but is easily still 350K-420K for a high mileage one here in the USA. Highway robbery you ask me. But I have the same mind, If I can't get it even there reasonably I give up and going Mclaren
Okay now this is exciting. So this has to mean they already have some made correct? First time seeing this one.
What is that fast sound, like someone gargling.. was exhaust valve open for a minute? Must be a mic recording flaw, it can't actually sound like that can it?
