Former Vendor
Here are some fun rejected spec renders we did for a client. Decided to go with a different option.

Hey guys.

New to rennlist; been following this thread for quite some time. After months of contacting my 991RS dealer, they finally got a 2RS for me. However, they were asking 250k just for the allocation putting (my spec) around 600k for the car. As much as I've been looking forward to this, I don't think the car is worth 600k; that's basically CGT money. I think Porsche needs to rethink this business model as it's discouraging for buyers like me to again and again be either turned down allocations or offered ridiculous markups. It seems the only way for 'normal' buyers to acquire these cars is to either wait for the heat to cool down and call around or bite the bullet and pay the markup; which was the case with my 991GT3 and 991RS respectively.

Let me know what you think.

So why did the 991.1 GT3 RS command a big premium for so long?
If there are this many produced then one has to consider how many people have budgets of thai size for a single car.

Burning Brakes
The thing that I see happening is, even though it's not a limited number car. Since Stealerships are adding such high ADMs, they wont be ordered in the quantities Porsche thought it would be ordered in. The dealers are artificially keeping the production numbers low based on the huge ADMs. Porsche hopefully realizes what the dealers are doing which is now putting a ding on Porsche AG's bottom line. Remember, PAG doesn't make any extra money if a dealer charges MSRP or 250k over. So when Porsche only sells 1,500 cars when they thought they'd be selling 3,000, that's the STEALERSHIPS taking a HUGE bite out of PAGs slice of the pie. They'll put up with a lot of crap from dealerships, but when it comes to actually taking money out of their pockets, I don't think they'll look kindly. I have a feeling, the GT2RS may be the last of the big ADM cars from Porsche. It's easy for a dealer to do it to a known numbered car such as the 918, R etc. But when there's a car that goes for over $300k and PAG is hoping to sell 3k, but can only sell 1,500 of because of the dealership greed, I think then something will finally be done to discourage the practice, such as taking away allocations from dealerships. One could hope so anyway.

No ADM in the UK. I wonder how that will affect things.

There is never ADM in Europe, all people I know how bought the R bought this car for 200 k then they could resell it for 400k. But I know that guys bought the gt2 rs for 500 k in europe so the difference between USA and Europe is that in US it s the dealer how take the ADM value but in Europe it s the client...
Even if there is 2500 cars how will be produce, it will be 500 k on the second hand market because the demand is really really huge... And this car is just amazing. It s not just about the numbers, for example the ferrari 599gto is selling for 500 k euros ( there is 500 examples ) actually whereas the TDF is around the million ( 799 examples ) ...
But honestly 250 ADM is huge, it s too much. Between 100 k and 130 k, I think it s more acceptable.

Someone on Instagram says he has a personal source at Porsche that confirmed, that there will be more than 3.000 GT2 RS...
I am not sure, if this can be right... To me, the number looks to high... What do you believe?!

Little note: The GT2 RS is as fast (OR FASTER) than the new 991.2 Cup cars around Algarve International Circuit (AIA). Now imagine how it will be with trick go fast bits. Walter was not on new tires, and the pads started to cry after a couple of laps that he was doing in a nonchalant way as he did lap after lap as fast as a cup car.

They should make money, but this is a rip-off.
