Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
Yep, that'll be the effect of not having the moisture content. Makes sense using it for Targa.

re N02 need a small high pressure tank and an account at BOC. We borrow one for every targa - a permanent sponsor. Has enough in it to fill 3 tyres from completely flat so plenty for just a few llb's adjustment
I find that the pressure range cold to hot is reduced by about 3 psi so that the tyres are in the sweet spot for longer and you don't have to worry about reducing pressure on longer stages since stages can range from 12km to 52km

N2, pure nitrogen, is what fills the rubber.
Maybe an RSG bottle of each?

Any suggestions on best supplier for pads. I've decided that std TT pads are adequate for what I do, so just looking for best source. I may need new discs too, as unsure if they can be dressed and still comply.
Also decided that I will sell my track wheels and Z221's as they are amazing, which means you give what is a std road car a very hard workout. My one visit to HD with them created 2 new rattles, brake pad warning lights, possibly melted sensor, and higher engine loadings.
I like them too much, but they should be on a more track oriented car.

Hi Phil. You aren't wrong regards sticky R comps putting additional stress on drive train and brake components. Id suggest an increase of over 30% against top shelf performance street tyres for same driver same machine. I think you also find you push the car harder with all that additional grip...
try mark @ fdmotorsports@comcast.net for factory pads. Might also be worth checking with CCS parts (ask for club member 15% discount) as I understand EMD have recently re aligned their parts pricing to reduce the affect of grey market imports. For higher air freight cost items (large or heavy) you may find CCS the way to go as there may be little in it...

Just bumped into Bill Young on the street of downtown wellington. Said the second week SITT went really well and they had a great time. Teretonga was drizzle and wet for part of day and a McLaren went off into wall not badly damaged but electronics shut down. We think Pcars are expensive to maintain but I bet that is in another league!

Has anyone here taken their car over to the UK/Europe for a short term trip and back? My father is looking at taking a high end car over for a few months and is trying to arrange insurance so any first hand experience would be good. (He has used Hagerty in the past but they have stopped doing it now).
Sounds like the SITT went well for all though who attended, perhaps a little bit on the full on/tiring side though?

As for the SITT. From brief conversations with some other participants we're both sated for fast driving for the near term and recovering from the cost (~ $10,000 when you take prep and repair into account). I don't think it could have been any better in terms of scope given the distance to get there, but it's not something I could raise enthusiasm for in less than another 2 or 3 years. In fact right now I think this was so successful I doubt I will ever do it again as the repeat would almost certainly be a lesser experience.
