Bought a money box for my 3 month old son, figure he should probably start saving now for his first car. No pressure on the marque choice, obviously.

Good one. Btw have done videos for day one and two. Uploading to Dropbox. It will take a while as the upload is slow. https://www.dropbox.com/s/muukxarqsk...%20Kaitaia.mp4

The Cape Reinga one is 1.2gb. It can upload overnight.

Spotted in and around Nuremberg. The only P cars I considered interesting enough to photograph.

SITT participants - the videos are getting easier to edit. Finished day 2 of 16. However, I can't post to YouTube with commercial music and they're going to be too big for Dropbox etc. it appears I will have to save them to a large USB and pass them around. Just setting expectations.

I'd be surprised if a video was removed for having a commercial music track. Maybe use Vimeo as an alternative?

Very cool Dave. Love the Jaegermeister car.
The 993 c4s in your photo is absolutely mint and looks like a Brand new car - would appear these are now garage gueens/collectors cars in Europe. I saw surprisingly few older Porsches on my last two visits there...

Jake, it's happened a number of times. YouTube scans for copyrighted content. One way past that is to select their tracks. Anyway, first thing is to creat the videos in highest quality then work out how to distribute them.

That was a good one, very straight and with 110k's, was being used for a wedding. Would have got more shots but I looked like a dirty perv hanging out at a strangers wedding. The Faux 935, I tried to strike a convo with the dude but language was a problem. Very co incidentally, I've seen that car before on one of my last trips 4 or 6 years ago. How many could there be in Nuremberg?

Mate. Thats bloody clean for a 110K 993. Paint is gleaming. Remember when mine used to look like that....

Sounds like you packed the Camo Cap then :-)

Dave - did you see the orange 1972 with 3.6 conversion down in ChCh? Probably a bit to race focused for your needs but couldnt help but think is its as good as it looks $100K is a bit of steal these days and its all ready to go...

I'd seen pictures of it but never seen the car in person before. Looks pretty good. I would have thought that a car like that would change hands off market if it is a good one. Just lately there have been more longhoods offered than there has been in 3 years and I am interested to see how long they hang about. Maybe the international longhood bubble is bringing them out of the woodwork to test the market here. Hard to know.
Looks like a car for Chris M? It's almost an IROC? Who's next with a hotrod build or a backdate?

Thumbs up

The next chapter begins!

Picked up an 07 997 C4S, manual, non-sunroof, 52k kms, ex-UK. Interior is extremely tidy, corrosion after a thorough inspection is largely limited to exhaust - it's c-r-u-s-t-y! Needs a sports exhaust anyway.

This will be primarily a roadie, while I think a while on what I want to build for pure fun & track - something along the lines of that orange IROC-ish 911 is where my thoughts lie. Things are close to finalized on the 964 & will hopefully be buying back the wreck.

Glad to be back.
