We're running this afternoon. After that I don't think we're out as a group until May. Many of us are doing a 2 week tour of the South Island tracks, basing ourselves in Queenstown.

Hi Sam. There are three options. Standard road B6 then sports heavy duty B8 and coil over B10 from memory. The shocks Steve has loaned to john may be B6 which would explain the symptoms. The best bet is to get the original ruf units rebuilt I guess depending on outcome today - I guess we wait and see ......

Oh, thats a shame. Sadly, I definitely can't do this arvo. Cool sounding trip. I've tracked all the SI venues except Highlands.

Ruapuna has 'testing' days tuesday's and fridays. I would bunk off work early, jump in the van and take my track bike for an afternoon of fun for $20. More often than not the porsche fast boys would be there testing with alternating sessions between cars and bikes. Occasionally i'd have to track to myself. 20 minute drive from work - loved the accessibility.

Looks like our 993 has joined the sans air con! They fixed the compressor and now it seems the evaporator has finally given up the ghost! Not unexpect

Oops. The sans air con brigade. Unfortunately after having the compressor overhauled the evaporator has let go. Big job with time running out and no oem parts in stock in nz means zero chance of cold air on SITT . Timing bad. Wife will not be happy. I'm getting a little bit frustrated by the endless things that crop up in trying to prepare for these high intensity jaunts but at the end of the day this is what happens as these cars get older especially when we choose to ride them harder now than the first owners did when they were new.....13 hassle free years of reliable ownership but age is catching up on her now.

Sorry for the rant!

^^^^^ LOL. Thanks for the picture John! Im figuring with a 12 hour labour bill I dont need the hassle of another 20 year old evaporator. That said been trying all morning to purchase teh new and improved (20-30% cooler air) Khuel Serpintine evaporator (factory fit but much better design so will not rot out in 15-20 years time like the factory one) evaporator from Grittiths in the Sates on 5 day express courier but they will only ship to a credit card verified address. No paypal. Not much good for me (in Vanuatu)! Bloody frustrating....
