Good, because my wife is away that weekend and the catering quality will be variable.

I'd love to come and catch up. However, I could do Saturday but will be at Oakura from Saturday afternoon onwards so couldn't do Sunday.

Anyone fancying a drive north following the 4th would be very welcome as per my previous invitation :-)

Looks like you and Macca will be ships passing in the night. He doesn't get into NZ until Saturday afternoon so we can't arrange a time that suits both of you.

Been off the grid for the last few days but definitely up for lunch next Sunday - can't do any weekend drives at present as am Porcheless for the next 2 months (unless you want to lend me one John...!!?)

Racecar failed its warrant at Contis - fair call though. Muffler bracket needs welding up (easy) but front control arms need the ball joints rebuilding so waiting on Rennbay kit from the states.

I've got my C4 WOF tomorrow. Should be ok. Certainly have enough tread on the Indonesian Champiro road tyres to pass that part. Also looking to join Chris after he's back from Taupo in a hunt for old race tyres to fit the 996tt. I may have multiple track ready cars. If not you're welcome to take the C4 out for a session or two. I even have two seats now so I can be coached as well.

Thanks John happy to come for a ride with you and add ballast! Presume you are looking for 18s for the 996t? I have a used set of RE55s but they are 17s - good for a few more track days though if of interest to anyone - think 235 & 255

As for Sunday, that's four of us so far. Enough for a quorum. I'll enjoy watching the 993 boys talk about mods and of course hearing about the GT3 trip.

Yes, 18" for the 996tt. Chris thinks there may be a reasonable selection for a reasonable price. The Champiros will be a pain for the SITT. I may just fit new Z221s and enjoy one set of tyres the whole trip. My current ones have 4,000km on them so I know it's possible to go the whole distance.

On another point, I'm thinking of turning my SITT trip into a cape reinga to bluff effort. My ferry booking will allow me to do that. Any one else interested?
