Team - we have a last minute vacancy for the tour if you know of anyone who was keen but missed out because of numbers. Macca was pretty prophetic about at least one broken car probably not making it! No dramas because we have had quite a few extras along the way and the Taupo turnout should be good in any event.

But there's an opportunity for anyone who can take from midday Thurs through Sunday off and has banked sufficient home brownie points....

I suppose it depends on the individual's goals for the tour, but with so many of us travelling single and likely to be happy to give up a session or two over the weekend, we have the ability to get that person on the tour and some track time. Not perfect, but better than hearing about a great trip after the fact.

Weather forecast improving for Taupo. Metservice is showing a sun peeping through now.

The rain forecast is also promising. It shows very heavy rain on our trip to Taupo, but largely clear or periodic showers until late on Saturday. Raining again on Sunday.

Track wheels fitted. Tyre pressures checked. New racing brake fluid "loaded". Stereo cabinet from the USA arrived, so ipad/bluetooth stereo installed and tuned up. Fuel, oil, water etc topped up. Spare oil and brake fluid on board. Clothes next. Damn that it's only Wednesday tomorrow.
