I'm trying to work within Matt's replacement cycle. I've had enough of trail blazing.

Nothing new about people trading up for more HP.........!

We alll want GT3's now don't we.............
Good points.

But I have a question, why is it that GT2's or GT2 RS's dont seem to attract half the interest of a GT3?

For me the tests on these have conclusions that are consistently neutral/negative. A GT2 being a sledge hammer for above average drivers compared to the Gt3 that is a scalpel.

True, many seem to have PCBs. I also think they are relatively poor value compared to a Turbo, at the prices sought.

They don't call them widow makers for nothing.

They have circa 500hp and are only 2WD with large turbo chargers to make them go...........I believe they are a handful in the wet.........

I think you seriously need to know what you are doing to drive one at the limit.

Tim James races one in the Porsche series, I don't know how it compares to 996 Cup Car times - would be interesting to find out.

It's interesting, A 993 GT2 is circa $350K pounds, miles more than a 2.7 RS and extremely collectable, the 996 GT2's are unloved? and so are 997 GT2's. Even the GT2 RS, the fastest 911 ever, doesn't sell that well, yet the 4.0 GT3 RS, are climbing in value and the next collectable 'RS'.

I personally haven't driven one, these are the 'testers' and internet feedback comments

17:55 = 5:55 pm. Not a nice night weather wise but 13.5C not too cold. You've gone soft!

13.5. Thought a few pixels were out there and it was 18.5. Crikey if that's the temp at 6pm I better buy some thermals. Ive not been to NZ that time of the year for many years. Got real cold here last night John. 18 degrees on the water and 14 inland. Still 26-30 during the day (humidity hasnt risen above 70% for the last few weeks) so very pleasent - having a bit of a cold snap here too LOL!

I recall August as the premium weather month on the rock. The locals will have their ski jackets on.

Here, the mid teens is very comfortable if the sun is out and wind is light. Check weather on this site during the day and view the solar temp. http://greylynnweather.net/

As for weather, it was patchy on the weekend but still good driving, with sun at times. The weather has a Spring feel to it.
