Have you been on FB again? Tut tut.

Yes, CF air intake, 993 seats and another full set of 993 seat belts in, plus another set of Cayenne Turbo wheels in. Ducktail and grille out.

Scoping out McMillan hunting Tartan or houndstooth to redo the Cobra seats.

It never ends......

yes Im a voyeur!

Hey Graeme, the BMW M2 did really well in that CAR comparison. It came 4th overall against some really tasty metal. The BMW M4 GTS didnt fair too well, it came last! The auto press dont seem so happy with the GTS, probably doesnt help its over 2x more expensive than a brand new M4 with competition pack!

Default NITT MANFIELD WHEELS TRANSPORT

Hi all, Has anyone got spare capacity to take 4 Track wheels from Taupo to Manfield and return? The Cayman doesn't have the capacity to do this. Any offers of help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Sorry Graeme. I made a mistake. The BMW M2 was 6th. Still ahead of the new Honda NSX though!

The surprise of the test was the Boxster S (718). It came 4th! Ive just read another review where it was pitched against Mercedes GTS AMG on track and gave it a bit of a bloody nose.

The new 991 C2S and 718, whilst turbo and having lost some of that flat 6 flavour have certainly in pure performance terms (and on track too) suprised everyone Ive spoken to personally who have driven them. A good friend we stayed with in Florida a few months ago has the 991 TTS and 991 GT3 (had teh RS but sold it) and did a Porsche Masters course a few weeks ago where they got a go in the new cars between goes in the GT cars. He stated that the new 911 C2S would be as quick around the track as a GT3 if it were on R comps and had slightly more aggressive suspension.

Torque rules for performance I guess. For emotion go naturally aspirated. However the day when the GT cars are blown is nigh - this may well be the last generation we will see...

Wait til the tuners get hold of the car and crack the ecu. and add adjustable suspension. It will be faster than gt4/spyder. NA. I think the manufacturers will put turbos on these cars that are close to maxxed out on standard tune otherwise the cars will easily overtake the performance of higher priced models. That will make it harder and more expensive to extract too much more performance.

Looks like this fellow listed too cheap, overwhelmed by the response he negotiated a price well over his asking and sold. I wonder what it sold for? 60K?

All documented on FB, including who the new buyer is (964 tipo owner going to manual). I doubt we will be told the sale price but I did send the TM seller emails on the two recent tipo sales and the likely Silver C4 sale price so they were are aware of where the market was trading. I imagine it was a low/mid 60s sale. Whatever it was the new owner will no doubt have some sorting to do. Apparently the car didn't match the photos in terms of cleanliness etc and hadn't been used for a while. Good to see these cars pass on to enthusiasts.

There are evidently owners still living under rocks or in caves. However, just as with my Project Car, the minute a sale gets out into a public forum, the owners are 'educated'. Given the raspberry red tipo went for $43k I suspect the cars I have now may be the last I own unless the property market crashes and things come back to earth.

My sister paid $22K for that car 8 years ago.

JMc - you may get your wish, given how banks are tightening at the moment and 2/3's of properties are not selling at auction at the moment, housing bubble is well and truely over (in Alk).

I'd refit Pasha to a car if it came as original but I'd like something more personal so I've decided to mimic Magnus and fit Tartan to my RSR seats, albeit my clan colours. There's a choice of five but I'm going with the McMillan Ancient Hunting tartan.

I'll need to do this after the NITT as I will fit the 993 seats to Herman while these are redone, which will add 75 pounds to the car in the meantime.
