Took a little cruise this morning trying to get to Nikau Caves via Port Waikato. Sadly 5ks south of Port Waikato it turned to gravel. Decent twisties otherwise!

Nasty crash. Word on the street is they were more of a menace to society than just high speed driving.

 

Paul my apologies if I missed this but is there a schedule for the NZFMR anywhere? In particular I'd like to know when the regularity trial events are likely to be during the day.

 

More than lucky to get out of this alive, though I'm guessing driving won't be in their future based on the injuries.

 

There is practice and qualifying on the Friday and 2 races on both the Sat and the Sun.

I don't have the schedule, but can tell you one will be before lunch and the other in the afternoon.

 

Yes it looks and sounds good. I wouldn't give my GT3 up for one but it would make a fine addition to the garage. Leong is very happy with the car and performance. We will both be at the track 9 Jan and will report more then :-)

Reiterating what others have said - thanks for the hospitality Phil, was a perfect evening spent with a good bunch of rambling enthusiasts, and a great start to the Xmas break. Hopefully there's a few more before the end of summer.
