Building an Outlaw car is a bucket list item for me. Can't get the colour of accessories wrong! There's less margin for error with the green background choice as it's a block of colour next to the main body colour. Using an App on my iphone I got multiple colours. I think Pantone 354C is the closest or maybe 7481C.

thx John, I think that there is a chance that the modern viper on the 997 is actually a slightly different shade to the original. Modern paints will be much different mix of ingredients and from what I can see may be the Porsche paint codes are different too. The old code listed doesn't seem to list for modern models.

Guys I have been watching this site and the conversation for a couple of months.
I have owned and driven daily a 993 for close to 10 years and covered close to 200,000km. Been lucky enough to have been able to drive a 993 as my work car.
Car is still going strong. A great advert for the quality of engineering and development that went into these cars.
I'm also booked to do The Playday South Island tour. I also did both the previous South Island Tours. Both were outstanding adventures. Managed to do more than 500km of track Km's on both tours. New tour will be even better with the addition of Highlands. Doing that amount of track time in a week really improves the skills.
Paul.

I know they are not the most loved 911 shape, but a NZ new, silver over black 996 C2 manual with only 110K's for high $30's - has got to be a bargain.

Paul, BTW. Took the 64T out for a shakedown b4 next weekends Gymkhana. Many sucks on the boost bong as I took off ramps and went back on the Motorway with the adjacent on ramps. It's in good form for a few 2nd gear pirouettes on the skid pan.

Macca,
After 10 Years with my 993. I guess I have an itch for a change.
Need a car that I can do 20,000km per year on NZ's undulating chip sealed roads.
First choice would be a 997 GT3 comfort. These cars seem to have almost disappeared from the classifieds in recent times. Even in the UK there are no cars on Pistonheads at he moment. Will be interesting to see if they start to appear again when the 991 GT3 is released.
My only concern is how compliant a GT3 would be for day to day use in NZ. However given the 993 sits on Bilstiens HD shocks which is a relatively stiff set up. Could you comfortably drive a GT3 from Napir to Auckland in one go?

Yes my car is the local C2S.
Have seen your Blue RS2 at Hollywoods a couple of times. Always liked those cars.
I think I caught up with your brother at The Hawkes Bay car Club Track Day. Like you I was interested in the mid corner speed of some of the cars that day. Wondered whether it was the stability control systems on the cars taking over from the drivers?
