hmm, difficult alright - I just checked out the web pantone colours and its looks too hard to figure out with such a difference between electronic and real colour in daylight.

John, think it best to try to colour match in real life/time. Maybe I just use your pattern and do the colour and production in wellington.

Guys I have been watching this site and the conversation for a couple of months.

I have owned and driven daily a 993 for close to 10 years and covered close to 200,000km. Been lucky enough to have been able to drive a 993 as my work car.

Car is still going strong. A great advert for the quality of engineering and development that went into these cars.

I'm also booked to do The Playday South Island tour. I also did both the previous South Island Tours. Both were outstanding adventures. Managed to do more than 500km of track Km's on both tours. New tour will be even better with the addition of Highlands. Doing that amount of track time in a week really improves the skills.

Paul.

Great story Paul. Good to have another 993 owner on here. Is yours the Vesuvius 993C2S on TM by chance? Great car!

John why don't you ask your man what he thinks about a match and I will then make a decision. From the just looking at the pantone web info is hard for me to figure out. I am happyto wait and try to match with my signwriting ppl that do my targa car here in wgtn if your man is not so confident on result.

@ $31 I don't imagine they'll do too much customisation. If it's important to get this right then it probably is best to stay with someone local.

Yes my car is the Vesuvius 993 on TM.

Nearly lost it though today. On my way back from Akl took a corner on the Napier Taupo road (a road I know well). front went light then the rear started to move. Boy it came round quick managed to do a 180 without touching either kerb very lucky.

Not sure what happened have taken that particular corner much faster in the car before. Can only put it down to diesel or that with the cold there is a little less grip in a summer tyre.

Not something I'd want to experience on the road again in a hurry.

Glad to hear you saved it. There are few enough 993s in the country as it stands!

Your car looks very good value.

What would you possibly replace it with after a 10 year love affair?
