Thanks Jake, that will be great.
i don't think the T will be up to the right standard to feature in anything - they need short stroke 2.5's, genuine recaro's, some patina and then the owner has to have the X factor so four fails right there.
But, as our cars collectively build their own story and the owners get better at sideways then that would make a great short film.

Funnily enuff, I have absolutely no idea what lap times I have achieved.. It does not matter to me. I just really enjoy putting the jandel down and giving the car its head, without some twerp coming the other way, possibly with an 'instant on' radar... Sometimes I pass someone, other times I get passed.. I don't care. The SITT for me is an opportunity to do the same thing on different tracks, and the camaraderie that goes with enjoying the company of like mined Pcar fools.. That is why I won't mod my car.. I just don't need to.!

Shameless plug - just posted an auction for a set of sport classic wheels. Ideal track day wheels for the 964 crowd

I wasn't a fan for many years then about 10-12 yrs ago they just clicked for me. I think steady exposure on pelican, rennlist, and youtube helped. I would love a stock 914/6 or a modified 914/4.

This: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used...-874544586.htm Or an E46 M3 CSL?
It's a bit unforgivable for a Porsche dealership (well company that owns one) should make this mistake confusing a 996 for a 993. It's a good day cajole tho I suspect getting a little tired now. Has sports seats too. I remember when it sold on TM from a Parnell dealer around 2.5 years ago for 112k. Mileage hasn't changed much since then...

In a separate topic I'm looking at carpet options. With the exchange rate where it is now a carpet set from Design 911 is bordering on $2,000, landed. I'm getting a sample from Lemans of Silverknit (yes Macca I know Southbound are better quality) at $100 per square meter. Has anyone had carpet work done? I thought I might have a go myself while the gearbox etc is being fixed.
I will resist the respray route although this looks damn good

Haha, the one car that no one with reasonable eyesight can mistake, unless it's been de-badged. And from the pedantic point of view, at least he can spell GT3, whereas 'sought' not so much. The trim shop was happy to start a set from scratch as even a fitted set would need modifying because of the differences that my T has for example around the seat brackets. I don't have a specific price for the carpet job only but the full trim job came in as what I considered good value (I am supplying the leather). As the job unfolds I will get an idea of the value of works for the certain parts of the job. The trim guys are sourcing the squareweave from a co. In Wellington - probably Le Mans. An advantage of a custom set is that I can choose leather edging, leather wear pads etc which is pretty high end but I have more leather than I need. Just sneeking into the shot here is some nice work around the seat mountings. Not sure I'll go that far but these things become possible with a custom set.
