Talking my book it seems like a very fair price. That car would be closer to $170,000 in the UK. It would be a great car for Paul, assuming he ignores my previous advice. It's free fall in another form, although having just driven mine today on my daily commute I can't be too harsh. They're a great drive.

Proof a Turbo 3.6 isn't a complete show pony. It still get's a commute each week.

Hey mate. I initially wondered if it was Grahams but then I remember the professional pics of it from Clint: Rennlister "Turbo 3.6". Did Clint buy it from Graham? I couldn't remember the connection as I know Graham was the first NZ owner. My recollection of it was telling me Clint owned his before Graham sold his??? So is the the car Graham owned?

Matt, that 2004 GT3 Has every recommended upgrade (suspension, brakes, pads, tyres etc) to make it a 1.12-1.14s HD car in the hands of Steve R or Ray. There would be nothing faster in stock for this side of a 99.2 GT3.

However in the hands of us mortals I would suggest 1.16-1.17s is a reasonably comfortable target (without doing anything silly) in your first day out at HD should you buy it.

Its such great value when you consider you could spend easily $90k +++ on a 964/993 with a few choice modifications and get no where near the reliable times this is capable of producing!

Funny. I never made the connection or just forgot. Just reading Clints old posts and saw Graham commenting. Clint just seem to drop off this forum?

John. I don't think much is moving used car wise at the moment. Look at the 996 GT3's. I think anything over $100k for an "old porsche" in this country is getting very hard for many to justify unless they are absolute enthusiasts like us on here but most of us wouldnt pay over $100k on here for a 20 year old Porsche and thats why we own 30-70k cars that we then go and spend a fortune on "fettling" LOL!

Agree. My eventual plan is to take the car on possible one way trip to Europe. That's where the money is for this type of spend. In fact thinking about it, none of my cars have been paid for with locally earned money. As with you, it's also the reason I inhabit the lower end of the Porsche price spectrum.

Actually, I'm not sure you qualify for that comment.

Absolutely sure this is Graham's old car. I was in touch with Clint at the time he bought it.

Clint had a daughter about 20 months ago, I think little Lucy might be taking preference.

John. A European trip with the car would be a great experience but you dont need to send it that far to get better money for it. Prices in Australia given their exchange rate are at least as good as UK (and dealers there will gouge). Just advertise it on the Victoria Porsche club website....

I'll keep that in mind, although a run on the Autobahn still appeals. Anyway we're talking years away yet.
