Sounds serious John :-P

No changes to Lola at this stage and running R888's as usual so you are probably safe.
Dougie - we can change over rims for an afternoon run? Give you a chance to experience 221's.

Cheers
P

Paul found a solution to the corded fronts....called Z214s! Of course this was officially only in the interest's of reducing unersteer :-)

We found out on Sat that Nitto BT01s are not road legal. they are Dot rated but say on the sidewall not for highway use. Damn shame as could have been a good option.

Paul says PCNZ putting in Hankook order soon and we should pre order. I think it may be a good idea. If the Hankook Z221 disappears from our shores we are in deep do dah.

Dang. I think I can nurse my current tyres through to the end of the NITT but it will take a visit to mega tyres to switch tyres from side to side, after the sprints. While current year to date spend on cars is higher than I'd like it, I think a forward looking order is well worth it.

Tires ex USA - freight to NZ

I have a friend running a school fund raiser and they have organized a container to be shipped ex LA to NZ and they are selling space to fill it. He just rang me and one of the other organisers is bring in tires for his audi suv. I have asked him the tire size and cost for these tires as a benchmark.

The container logistics are all being handled by Mainfreight so it all seems to be well handled.
Any interest here PM me and I can get more details

Graeme. Awesome opportunity thanks for sharing. My shed is full of tyres right now but this may be a great idea for someone wanting some tirerack OZ wheels (cannot be sent to NZ) to jump on....

At the moment I am looking for a set of tyres for my Cobra Replica, hard to find here in NZ.
That would be a great oportunity to get a set from the US.
Do you have a rough number what the shipping share would be?
And when would the container leave LA?

Cheers
Ralf

There'll be live coverage of the Endurance race at HD available here: http://live.hamptondowns.com/gull.html

Not the most exciting camera work given it's all static, but if anyone's interested it's there.
