I wouldn't think so. It's a very low spec, Gen 1 car. There are a load of Caymans on the market at the moment - even a tip S for about $33k.

No Gen 2 'S' cars at all.

Gosh. I didnt know that. I just saw 2009 and assumed Gen 2. In that case its over priced! Looks like I need to learn my Caymans better!

NZ seems to have quite a few 2009 Gen 1s - must be the way the stock was registered in the market. You can tell from the steering wheel, front bumper and I think all the gen 2's NZ spec had PCM3.

Right, Im learning. Also 50cc more capacity on the 3.4 from facelift.

This is for Walter. Sorry to inject Honda into the Porsche talk

Walter, CEL code is 22, which is the Vtec oil pressure switch. This is what I found. I doubt you had Vtec power at Uncles.

Then we move to the water temp gauge. The threaded brass part is the sender. It should have a threaded fitting for the gauge, but No, it has a bodged one. The gauge works on resistance so the fitting should be tight and resistance free. It may not be the problem but it doesn't help.

I too assumed 2009 Caymans would be Gen2 DFI. Interesting. 2009 Boxsters to my knowledge are gen2 DFI, right?

MY09 cars, yes. From the VIN, that car is MY07.
