Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
Arrangements for tomorrow:
BB drivers are: Dave, Doug, Matt G, Ralf, Walter and Me
I will fill out the form for the car. You will just have to sign the indemnity at the office.
Dave and I will travel down in BB. We will pick up BB2 on the way. We have wheels to fit to BB2, but the focus is on BB leaderboard times.
To make it fair, if it's moist or worse and no one volunteers we'll toss for first one out and run sequentially. If BB breaks down then we may 'have' to break in BB2, which won't count for times
Looking for another great day out there. See you tomorrow.

No, don't jinx it. Who would have thought it would last 39 sessions and Auckland / Manfield return. It will be interesting to see whether BB2 is markedly faster. 30 more hp, with better fluid, pads and tyres. The latter have got the most potential.

Paul maybe worth seeing if the a cup car could be complied for road?
A few years ago a Ferrari challenge car was complied and ran in Targa so must be possible.
New springs and shocks, doors as plastic doors probably not road legal, Maybe some wiring and lights - not sure if cup car has fully operating lights, indicators etc. But could keep everything to change between track and road spec. Would need ear protection and intercom for any road distances with passenger and dog box is a bit of a hassle on the road in traffic with shunting on and off gas. So not for city driving but doable

CUP cars are all LHD so there's your first problem. Your second problem is they were never issued with a CoC (certificate of Conformity) from factory and your third problem is they have no handbrake system and a tonne of other road required equipment which would cost an arm and leg to retrofit. Your best bet is actually to look for a road GT3 which was converted to a CUP car - there were two I believe done in NZ (Mad Butcher Peter Leech owned one). The expense was phenomenal but they are RHD and have a LTSA accepted VIN.
Wet, wild & windy in Akl today - hope its calmer for you boys out at HD in the Honda stealth fleet!
Or at least you get a tailwind up the straight to crack 1.27!

It is real bad. Showers every 20 minutes gives the track no time to dry. BB2 is ok, quite firm and axle tramp is annoying out of corners when understeering. BB has had first run and the Grinch runs very nicely - the pick of the three - but retired today with some sort of issue when not in the v tech rev band.
Good stuff - I have the (light) beers, water, juice & snacks for the day. Looking forward to seeing this racecar at last. This storm should blow itself out overnight and all will be good. Been a while for you - must be hanging out for a good blat!?
Walter, Ralf and Dave ran. Ralf bested his previous time of 1.30.xx and is now 10th.
