Friday night at our table we had a discussion regarding the pricing of early 911s - bubble or not.
If the cost of building a very good accurate parts is the thing that sets the a base price of sorts then this shows how the cost of good parts is very expensive too. Maybe also driven by the market. But hey this is the heart of a decent MFI system. Check it out

Well all safe and sound back home. Cleaned and polished the car and she is safe in the garage looking all innocent and beautiful. I enjoyed cleaning the grime and rubber off her but thought she looked well used, the way she should.
Thanks to everyone for the organization, Peter in particular, but also for the good time , conversation and laughs. I really enjoyed the whole weekend. Matt you have a wonderful house, thanks for the hospitality good food, drink and the movie.
The RSR is fantastic Steve, and it was a blast travelling back to Taupo following the new gt3s. What a great sight. So many memories and now the pictures . Thanks to you all.
I would be keen to be part of the 2 k cup cars and agree with Chris about the safety issues. Count me in please.

2k cup interest so far is Chris B, Dave, Chris M, Neil and Me. That's more than we need to start.
We have an initial prospect car with the Grinch. However, I want to go over the car more before putting that forward. At a minimum I want to check compression and make sure it hasn't had major accident damage. The rest is a lottery given it's a sub $2,000 car.
Dave/Neil, if you are around during the week we can check it out in my garage.

But who says the parts aren't a bubble either??
I'm no investment or bubble guru, but when there is an expectation of prices continuing to increase and people wanting to get in simply so they don't miss out on future price increases........ (which I think we have now......), then in my limited experience it's a bubble.............
It was a good conversation.

don't disagree with Paul or Neil - it may indeed be a bubble but with massive QE by central banks around the world and now that the ECB looking to start a new round the money printing cycle is by no means over. So this is driving money into alternative assets.
