I had 10-years on the Rock, plenty of time to contemplate things.

As for the weather over the next few weeks, we've just cancelled our Tongariro Crossing for this Sunday as rain is predicted.

All this talk of PV has me getting impatient for July to rock around! Tongariro crossing is very cool but definitely at its best when the weather is good - a lot less fun in the rain and when the cloud comes down.

On more car stuff, the new rims are in at Wheelfixit and will be ready late next week. I've sourced some of the new Hankook track tyres in 17" - $1500 for the set fitted and balanced. Have had to go full soft as that is all available - hoping for a fine day and they should be sticky as.

Do we still need to recruit heads for the 29th? Best check in at Steve's website.

Pete. We had 9 confirmed but Paul may be questionable so ideally we need 1-2 more.

Sounds like your wheel/tyre combo will be ready for 29th. I think you will find you gain a few seconds with those at HD...

Yup - I will still come down to say hi but will be on BBQ duty as my engine will be in bits.

I thought Id put this out there for anyone looking for a good set of 17" wheels for their 964. OEM Cup II, 7J+9J, new full refurb (i.e. look as new) no tyres, $1600...

Also, although Im doubting these will be on interest in NZ, I have a pair of OEM hardback sport seats, colour coded midnight blue backs, fully rebuilt and serviced, heated, Porsche crest in classic grey. I probably dont need to tell any Rennlisters on this board how rare they are. I have three sets of seats and although I have tried once before to tear myself away from these (the rebuild and paint cost alone was not insignificant) I do definitely need to recover some space this time. They will be fairly priced (given what they are). $POA

I'd be first in line for those wheels if I wasn't selling.

I wouldn't have been far behind if I hadn't just puller the trigger on a 2nd set!

Just going to have to stay tuned and see what else is in Macca's cave.

How's the sale process Matt - any bites?

Pete. Don't worry too much mate. those wheels and seats will be around for a while yet I can tell you. I very rarely sell anything which is what has me in this predicament in the first place! Im only just starting to realize I probably will have to get a bit more serious this time around.

I see there is a swap meet in April or May (PCNZ). I might just end up getting a mate to stick it all on a table there!

They don't get big turn outs - they are 'social' from previous experience.

I suggest TM.

Paul. That's just the problem. It all gets too hard and then I loose interest. Its a shame we dont get better turn out at these events. One of our fellow rennlisters just went to the swap meet in LA (one of the largest in the world) and had a wonderful time. It was a 5 day tour of some of the top resto shops in LA too. Another for the bucket list...
