I was in touch with the organiser via email and he said he'd do his best to get the Auckland stuff freighted up here as cheaply as possible. I'm assuming he has a great relationship with Mainfreight.

Very good idea to get wheels and tyres... Effectively with the tyres fitted to the wheels, there is no additional freight. I looked at it but with 5 sets of wheels for 2 cars have no further need. Was licking my lips over a set of OZ racing rims though.

Doug, here's the best chance you will have to get Esco flat axle stands in at a reasonable cost.

Also, when I checked with Rob on the weekend he said there's plenty of space available in the container. I just warned him it looks like there's a few Jaffa orders coming

That's what I thought! No better time for a set of OZ Ultraleggera/Leggera and Michelin Pilot SS's. Not sure what to do with the original rims off the Cayman though... anyone in need of a set of 18" 8/9" rims?

Got the wrap up e-mail from the Enduro series today - stoked to find out that we managed 4th overall (all classes) for the series!! I guess there were not that many that entered all 3 rounds :\

Thanks Graeme - can you pm me the details and I'll get onto it. That's what I thought! No better time for a set of OZ Ultraleggera/Leggera and Michelin Pilot SS's. Not sure what to do with the original rims off the Cayman though... anyone in need of a set of 18" 8/9" rims?
CONGRATULATIONS 4th overall. That's brilliant!

If they were to charge $45 for a stack of 4 x 17 tyres I would be pretty sure they would barely cover the cost no?

Good work Pete. Congrats!
Good choice on wheels and tyres by the way. Great value too!
Ralf. The asian rubber is all imported to the USA thats why its not remarkably cheaper. The Europ rubber liek Michelin is made in the uSA and is of equal quality to the stuff made in France etc. You certainly dont need to worry about quality. A John says he was referring to the brands as there are a tonne of ones we are not familiar with available at tyre rack. The Z222 (RS3) in the new compound is a very good road tyre. It is heavier than a Michelin Super Sport size for size but probably provides 90% of the performance for 75% of the price...tirerack has excellent reviews from many 100's/1000's you can even select by car type...
