I owned a 2001 mustang Bullitt in my university days and loved that car more than anything I regret selling it to this day, the GT350 is not only at an amazing value but is a super good looking car as well

I saw something about on here about a GT350 catching on fire? Is this something common? Are we back to square one like when the 991 GT3 was first launched or is this GT350 incident a 1 off?

Would hate for anyone to be contemplating getting a GT350 then need to wait until the issue is solved like what happened with the first GT3 buyers

Not common. A one off thing. Google it or go to mustang6g for details

Great looking car!
I saw one at a dealership, Avalanche Gray w/ Black stripes has a very mean appearance in person. I'm quite envious that you're buying an R!

Particularly because it's spares us the fake Scottish accent and tiresome top gear ripoff phrases like honey brilliant peach stunning lovely fetching bloodyhell etc etc

Curious if he's driven a gt4

I just drove the GT350 a little out of way to get on some backroads/highway with plenty of 2nd gear launched on ramps and 3rd gear sweepers. GOOD GOD. (70% of my driving is on boring Florida roads) so you'll have to excuse me - even those boring roads are made to be highly entertaining with this car, but when you get on the right roads (plenty of turns and fast bends) NOTHING LIKE IT.

Take a look at the specs of the Shelby GT350 and ask yourself, how many cars for 100k and under would you rather be racing at your favorite track or tackling the best back roads, or just cruising along in a city with the exhaust note wailing down the urban streets.

Under 100 I'd have to throw this in the mix (and I'm a Ford guy):

That does look like a great Corvette, if I were to buy one that would be it.

The new Corvette GS is really going to set the bar vs. its main competition, the GT4 and the GT350. And chances are they'll be more available than either of those.

(I'd still rather have a GT4)

The only thing that turns me off about the Corvette is that they are everywhere. That doesn't mean they aren't really good cars, as the numbers tell me they must be. I just prefer a bit more exclusivity with my toys.

Oh, come on Para, "harden the F up". Ran two track days this weekend in 96 degree 80% humidity. Don't see any AC in that buggy do you? Get that bad boy to the track.

A friend took me out in his 991GT3. Holy crap the speed and pace that thing carries with half the effort of my TA3!. I was duly impressed.
