What's the general consensus today on a fair price for a GT350R?

If you can still find one brand new & unsold or an open allocation....

+40K and above ....the going 'asking' rate by many dealers nationwide
+30K ...from many midwest to west coast dealers all the time from what I have seen/heard
+20-25K ...all day long - the bottom line
+10-15k max ....good-fair deal so be ready if you can swing it
+5k ...don't even hesitate, need lots of good luck but not impossible
MSRP at this point, forget about it ...although a very few have done it, very lucky, a steal!

I saw 2 this past weekend at C&C Palm Beach... both easily over 100K. According to some serious buyers there, they wouldn't go lower than 5k off.

I agree it's not worth some of the ADMs out there but for MSRP it's a heck of a deal.
Well nice to see we agree on something.

The aero and suspension are easy to upgrade.

Fact is you would be better off buying a fully prepped track car and open trailer for $110K if you are serious about the sport. The R is still a street car and guys don't realize the mayhem that occurs when chit goes bad at 3x's high way speeds with no safety equipment.

Well I think the GT350-R will retain msrp value and even higher.... think of GT3 RS values (both 997 and 991) just a few years later. Similar principle- low #'s and highly desirable.

Obviously this is considering Ford Performance stops GT350 production after MY2017 or maybe even after MY2018 if they decide last minute to extend it to another production year.

For the sticker price of the GT350, I'd rather have a Boss 302S. Real factory race car with all the safety stuff.

Today's. 40K more than what they sold. Just look at the prices a good condition classic Mustang goes for...
But short term I don't see it. Ford will make plenty of these. Those that pay over today are making a mistake IMO.

Agreed. Having fun dicing it up with a buddy in his yellow 302S and my Boss Trans Am TA3 ("Thor").

Skip to about 3:15 and go from there!!!

So the plan is to spend $110K for an R that will be worth $100K in 30 years?

I spent $46K on my Boss 302 LS Silver and Red #46. That may be worth $100K in 30 years too. I'll be 87. Likely sitting in a rocking chair eating puraied peas. Won't care much about it and likely only worried about whats for dinner and who is changing my depends.

You might have misunderstood my point. I was merely offering an opinion of value for those that think the GT350 is the next best thing since sliced bread. I just don't think these will be made in such low numbers to retain their value or even increase in the near future. In 30 years when everything's electric there might be a different story...

Para: Your getting just a tade carried away here. Aside from heat soak the Z06 is a track beast. An R wouldn't see where it had gone....and I bleed Ford blue.

Fact is fact.

Neanicu: I did. Sorry. Point taken.

They are on every corner where I live, and make for one of the most disappointing track cars in automotive history. The gentleman at NOLA MS had quite a rant about it when I asked him how he liked his new Z06 (this was just before he got a CEL and stormed off at 11am) - and I read the same complaints on the forums over and over - everyone is dumping them.

Grandsport is a strong buy.

They do sound good with an exhaust.
