I had a 16 gt350(great car) and just picked up a 17 gt350 with the hpe850, the power is insane. If the gt500 has similar power/torque with better grip, it should be an unbelievable car.

That engine is real fragile. I'd be careful with any power adders.

Why? I haven’t heard of any power adder 350s failing. Like most of your comments re GT350, this one is baseless.

You”re full of doom and gloom man. Everyone on the M6G site is sick of your bitterness and one-sided/biased opinions.

Go ahead and blow up your engine, I could care less. All those fan boys are in denial. I question anyone's judgement in buying a GT350 after all of oil consumption problems and blown up engines over the last few years. Especially when Ford has done exactly zero in addressing the problems. Good luck is all I can say, you're probably gonna need it.

most of the doom and gloom is horribly exadurated and then perpetuated by you and a couple bitter folks. I took two random names from the coveted “blown engine list” and cross referenced them. One was on the list twice and the other three times. This might be even MORE blown out of proportion than the IMS “issue”.

Hey you know whatever makes you feel better. All I know is that when my first POS '16 got dropped off at the dealer there was another one there and my dealer is very small. That blown engine thread on M6G is several pages long. That thread is such a big problem that the mods over there changed the name of it, surprised they didn't delete it altogether. Professional You Tube reviewers are also mentioning it, Ford stopped racing the engine very early in the product cycle etc. Next week there will be another guy on that board posting up that his engine **** the bed, then another the next week and on and on. Sold my replacement '17 before it happened to me a second time. So good luck to you. Anyone who owns one wonders if today is the day....

If anything bad ever happens to my car, it can be fixed or replaced. You’ll always be a bitter, angry little man...no fixing that, obviously!

Every once in a while, while having a spirited drive in mine, I think about you and how much you’re missing out on..and chuckle.

the extended length of the engines development is concerning, I wish manual was an option, worse is the stupid circular **** gear selector, but it looks like a very interesting car, its too bad the games and limited production makes it difficult to purchase

Its got warranty, If something breaks, it'll get fixed. My 15 gt3 needed an engine, no big deal. All cars break/have their issues including Porsche, enjoy them like the toys that they are.

The difference is that Porsche admitted that there was a problem w/ your '15 GT3, made updates and then gave your car a new engine w/ a 100K mile warranty. When a GT350's engine fails, Ford puts in a new one but is otherwise the same. To date they have not admitted that there's a problem w/ the 5.2 FPC, and the dealers are under strict orders to send the engines back without opening them up to see what had failed. That tells me that they're just going to wait until their liability runs out, thereby leaving their customers with a pile of crap.

Randy...you should stop arguing. Some people can't understand you.

To me, GT350 engine has potential issues is bad enough for me to walk away.
I don't want to miss the driving season because my car needs engine replacement.
I don't want to drive few hundred miles to conduct the 'oil consumption' test. I don't have time to visit dealership over and over.
I have seen M6G member having really bad experience while their engine got replaced: paint scratches, wires/cables broken or oil everywhere in engine bay. I can't live with that.
If Ford can identify the problem and issue a recall/fix, I would have kept the car.
I bought the car to enjoy. Worrying about oil consumption and having to measure it every few hundred miles is not enjoyment to me.

For some, they think:
1. Warranty solves everything.
2. It is no issue as long as it does not happen to them.

Well...good luck and wish your engine live forever. It is a very good car.

No doubt

I've seen nightmare engine replacement pics of all kinds of stuff over at M6G. Imo both of my GT350's were very disappointing to own. They were just really poor quality. They're not going to last for any length of time, not with the build quality they have. And with the rep of that engine, who the hell is going to want to own one off warranty?
