Hey Peter.... yes you really have to try your own derriere in them to be sure. Rule in or rule out.

I took this last year but here's the measurements on the stock Recaros (R's and non-R's have same seats). Length of seat bottom is 20"... and then the width from bolster to bolster ranges from 13" down to 12" (give or take a centimeter). So your hips/buttocks near your coccyx better be a foot or less!

20"

13"

12"

Thanks, no doubt the Recaros work.
Just was wondering how ****ty the regular seats are to keep the anti swamp *** system in place.

I bought a '17 with the Convenience package because of the bun cooler seats (it's hot here in TX). The microfiber insert works well at keeping me planted while on the track and the seat belt is well positioned to hold tight too... actually better than in my GT3. I'm not suggesting the LWB in the '3 or the Ricarro's aren't ultimately better, just that the CP seats are pretty good on the track, and much cooler. BTW, I had the car at ECR on a 93 degree day with the AC on full and had no overheating problems.

As soon as I get mine we'll take it to Sebring. You are more than welcome to help me get those seats sweaty.

Look forward to it

It seems non R at MSRP and R a couple thousand over but if need to buy some track wheels as well. I'm to old fashioned to trust CF wheels at Sebring.

What are people doing for Harness / Harness bar?

WATSON RACING is the go to for the cages. They are contracted by Ford Racing to do quite a bit on the cup cars.....

Waxer correct if i'm wrong but they had a hand in the Boss 302R/S cages as well?

Anyway I've seen their half cages for the GT350R and the installation looks top notch - the are reasonable too with pricing. Give them a call.

Any pics? With half cage you mean a roll bar?

I was hoping for something like a simple 2-4 point harness bar that is temporary.
My days of DD a fully caged Mustang are over LOL.

Maybe with the vented seats or if needed with Recaro's a 3 poiny seat belt will work.
I did all the euro tracks with the 3 point belt, but I could plant my left leg...

I had one made for the RS just to hold harness in place temporarily for Euro Delivery but it got stuck in customs and I never used it.

Mine will be cage free. Will serve as kid hauler and track rat. Will treat it like a rental car.

Farmers old car is track only. Need a comfortable 991rs just like yours.

Yes roll bar - Remind me to dig up some photos this weekend, one guy did it on 6G on his GT350R - had it painted a matching red it looked oem - very sharp.

Is it a real deal?
Looks like it sold at $53,900. About $3k less than sticker. Not a bad deal for someone.

Yup that's a good deal... and then just factor in if applicable sales tax and shipping costs.

Here's the window sticker for that 350: http://windowsticker.forddirect.com/...6P8JZ8G5521617

Peter

Lay off the and swampy *** won't be such a problem Plenty of leg room so head room would be your only issue in fitting. The seats aren't cut for a sub strap so I am just doing a Schroth ASM 4 point. Yes I know some people are against this BUT I am allowed to risk my life as I please.

Default Success!!!! Success!!!! Success!!!!

I had placed myself in line with a local Ford dealer back in May. I have not purchased Fords from him for myself, and few for our company, so I had no great expectation of results. The dealership has great, and today, I was given my vin#! I will send pics in a few weeks when it arrives. Grabber Blue, black stripes.

My first ever car was a 1970 Mustang, I purchased it with 109,000 miles. 351 Cleveland. My grandfather sold cars for a Ford dealership most of his life, and took the first 1965 Mustang hardtop they received. So, the whole thing is kinda nice.
