Oh I believe Weathers if that is what he said. He must have juiced it recently as it sounded like it at least had head/cam work at MSR and the worst head/cam LS3 makes way more than 450rwhp. Stock LS3 is around 380-400rwhp.
It doesn't matter anyway as he should have his superman 427 ready for next season.

M3EvoBR with his cheater 440whp 3.8GT3RS and my Fiat with 397whp.
He bought a 997GT2 thinking he can beat the Fiat, poor soul.

My first vid with data overlay so still a work in progress. Fast forward to 4:50 or so for a little back straight action. No good laps, but still a good test data overlay.

The video gets interesting around 7:50 more so than idling past traffic. The needle twisting acceleration of the ZR1 is quite amazing. I just read that ZR1 buyers get a "free" two day drive at Spring Mountain. Is that something you've done?

Yes, sir. The two day ZR1 school is included and it's awesome. I paid for a third day which was open lapping sessions in their almost brand new ZR1 school cars. Doesn't get much better than that.
The vid data is accurate from a Solo DL with a 10 hertz refresh rate. I was running Continental GT racing slicks.

[QUOTE=Carrera GT;10591021]The data is a bit contradictory and implausible (unless you're on Hoosiers, I doubt it was pulling 1.2+ G's) but no mistaking the relative acceleration. I assume the guy in the RS had left the handbrake on. I've seen the ZR1 in a rolling start drag race with a 599 GTO ... despite the straight line deficit of manual shifts, it's quite comparable at about 1/4th the price ... it also makes an awesome sound in the process.
Looks like an amazing track!
997 GT2 and ZR1 are very similar in terms of power, and straight line acceleration. That being said, one is far more confidence inspiring on track, IMHO.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

It is not free. It is included with the cost of the car. At one point Corvette sales were lagging so much, they started including the school in with all the Corvette models.
Even if you don't drive a Corvette, going to Spring Mountain is a great tool. They work hard with you. I must suggest going in the cooler winter months, otherwise you just melt out there.

I agree on SM. It's an awesome facility. I've been there for Level 1 and 2 and just put a deposit down for Level 3 late fall/early winter. I'm waiting for cooler weather and for the C7's to show up. It will be fun to flog someone else's Z51 C7 on the track. It will also be very interesting to determine if I can break my previous record set with a C6 Z06 with a new C7 Z51.
