I'll say it again, the C6 Z06 is the best handling stock-suspended car I have ever driven, and I have tracked Porsches, Lotuses, BMWs, and Ferraris. Doesn't meet your criteria of aero (well, one of us has aero mods) but all run slicks except one RA-1 user.

I think your stock motors is the key to keeping them alive.

Take a look at the Radio/GPS in a Ferrari and tne Radio/GPS in a Jeep Wrangler. Granted, you aren't buying a Ferrari for the radio but WTF.

Why would you mess with 450hp and 450lbs of tq?
Just like the 4.0, tires and wheels, LSD, brake pads and rotors, exhaust and done.

450 for 450, I keep my german 450, which is more of a 450 than the american 450.

The new LT1 is not a 450/450 motor. It will be spitting distance of the current Z06 if not equal.

Tom and David build great cars. I was hoping for the best when they joined up with LG, but it really hasn't done them any good in the race dept. Just in the parts selling dept with their customer cars.

Isn't it just amazing what the government can build? I did love my C6, but will probably not buy another GM vehicle. Traded my C6 for a new GT500 and love it.

Why does corvette motors grenade? Oiling issues? Haven't seen one grenade in NorCal yet. Mike
