Probably 4-5 hours for Shifter and Cables!

It's true, about 4-5 hours if they've never done it before.

100% worth it!!! It will change your driving experience. The stock shifter feels like a piece of junk compared to this.

Been troubleshooting my sloppy, notchy, and at times stuck shifter last few weeks. No go. Finally decided to pull the trigger on the new set of cables and an upgrade to a short shift. Hopefully Numeric bundle does the trick. A fun installation date is just ahead!

Thanks for the promo code!

Lots of great reviews. It’s super cold in the Northeast right now and I really don’t feel like spending five hours in the garage, but really hate the sloppy shifts in my 997 C4S. Is it worth doing just the shifter now and cables when it warms up? Or is it best to wait to do both?

I know there will be some double labor to do it in stages and I’m ok with that. But if the shifter alone won’t really improve the feel, I’ll likely just wait.

The shifter alone will significantly improve the feel and is an easy DIY. I made a video with an overview of the installation along with my first impression while driving.

Pulled the trigger on shifter and cables - GREAT St. Patrick’s Day bundle deal!

Wasn’t able to use the RL discount code.

As someone who owns a car where this seems a worthwhile mod, I have to ask if there is any effort toward improving the instructions for install that come with the components? It seems the effort is there to endlessly bump a for sale ad, but I’ve read countless threads from Numeric purchasers where they say something to the effect of “Great product once it’s all done, but the installation instructions are incomplete/awful, and Numeric really needs to improve this.” Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Can you link some of those threads? This is the first we have heard of this. We can upgrade them if need be

Here’s the one I was reading last night. OP struggling in posts 1 & 9, then others who had done it previously agreeing/sympathizing in 11, 16, 17.

It's unclear to me does shortening of the throw effect the height? Can the be adjusted independently?]
