Is it not worth just getting the shifter? I dont know that I have it in me to deal with replacing the cables.

I did just the shifter and feel that it changed the feel enough that I don't feel the need for the cables.

Finally got this installed yesterday, and after about 100 miles...WOW. It's SO much better, shorter, cleaner shifts (no more slop). It's easy to find the gears and I find it easier to time the shorter shifts with my feet. 10/10 recommend.
