I know, that was disappointing.
The 987 Spyder windows had the look. Sad to see it go.

I am torn on this one. I have a 2014 S with X73, Sports Seats, LSD & TV. I would love to have the 375 HP but am disappointed no adjustable front control arms, smaller brakes & rear tire size than the GT4. Also I can not tell on Website does the new Spyder come standard with LSD?

I would opt to delete the side stripe. Will be keeping my Boxster S thank you.

What stops one from mounting larger wheels from gt4 on spyder?.. Is axle spacing different?

Also... A guards red with matching red wheels like the 911/964 speedsters would be cool to see... This car deserves a little punk look

Unless your tracking a lot not sure why you would want/need adjustable front control arms. Same goes for brakes/rear tire size. If you are tracking a lot the GT4 or GT3 is a better way to go.

It does have PTV with mechanical rear differential lock.

Thanks. But it's not the Carrera S brakes either. I have PCCBs on my 981S, and I believe that is the same as the PCCBs in the 911s?

According to the Cayman Brochure the S PCCBs are 4 piston not 6 piston calipers.

That looks hot. The stripes make the car, IMO

They are 6 piston. Must be a typo. 4 piston PCCB have never existed.
BTW, can you explain to us why you post using 2 different user names/accounts? I don't get it.

Identity crisis? Ha... No actually I started the 987720 account when I was shopping for the Spyder I have now. Wanted to be more anonymous until my deal was final.

Since, my computer is logged under one account and my iPad under another. Haven't bothered to log out to use just one.

There are fed regulations for almost everything so I'm surprised that there's not one for rear window visibility. Just by looking at the pictures of the 981 Spyder's rear window, visibility has to be virtually non existent. I'm not a fan of rear cameras, but the 981 Spyder certainly needs one, at least that's the impression I get by looking at the pictures.

That's why the Spyder gets a optional camera and the GT4 doesn't?

This will be my first new Porsche. I wanted the last one but missed the window to order and most used ones have PDK and heated Sport Seats.
I am surprised to hear complaints such as the side windows not being special or that it doesn't look very different from the standard Boxster. To me it's like arguing that the 1973 Carrera RS looked like a standard T with a stripe and spoiler package. Both Spyders are special cars.
