I'm sure you have good knowledge on this so I'll completely defer.
The GT4 in low downforce config produces over 26 lbs of front downforce at 126 mph. With no wing to balance it and significantly smaller brakes a Spyder using the GT4 splitter would probably produce more, call it 30+ lbs. This goes directly to grip, increasing front end stick by slightly over 2%.

Where you'll notice this is in mid-corner bumps at speed- where previously the car was balanced and would slide over equally front and rear, now the front will tend to stick while the rear slides.

Downforce is a square function, so at 110 mph it's more like a 1.5% difference in grip. That's small, but enough to adjust the balance slightly, more like going wider 10 or 20 mm on the front tires. By 150 mph it'd be over a 3% grip difference and closer to disconnecting the front swaybar. The car will get darty, the fronts still operating at a very low slip angle when the rears are starting to slip significantly. It's around this speed that you'll probably notice it in a negative way. Significantly below that it might even feel good.

A modern wing like the GT4's can be flat or even have negative rake and still make good downforce. It may not look like much, but it's contributing twice the downforce of the splitter to balance the car...

[QUOTE=Pete C;12688194]Got to see two gt silver/classic interior spyders today at my dealership.
Looks fantastic! Gong there to drive one tomorrow.

I also ordered this combo for a mid winter delivery.[

Got to drive it today and it is fantastic! As expected fit and finsh are great. GT Silver w/ Spyder interior looks really, really good.
Auto blip on downshifts is very cool also.
Sounds like a real sports car as well with the aggressive burbles and pops. No real negatives to report.
Top up and down in about a minute or less once you know what to do.
This car had 18 adaptive which feels great of course.

An all around step in the right direction compared to my last spyder especially with a real tranny now!

This is an available car, nicely optioned ($98k)
If anyone is intersted, send me a pm and I'll put you in touch
With my sales guy there.

Explain that to my iPhone 4s with the filled memory

If I get a chance to stop by again, I will post a few.

They had two identical, one with silver wheels and the other with black. Silver wheels car is the one I drove.

Well I do want one that is for sure, but I think I would have preferred buying one off a lot with maybe even a small discount. I guess manual two seaters at over 90k will only attract so many people. Still weeks and weeks to go for me. Whatever.

I drove the one we just got in stock yesterday. Simply amazing.

It takes a lot for me to be impressed by a vehicle, I've piloted everything from Super bikes to 918, and it was just so much FUN! That's really what it comes down to I think.

Mine is not here yet, but I regret not getting rear cam, that's going to be my second mod.
