for the Porsche company marketeers today, any model available with a manual stick shift is from this point forward to be deemed an " ultra high performance " one !

There will be an optional $800 alum pedal set with " UHP " embossed in relief on the face of the clutch pedal

Alexio/Arena
I come with official news from Porsche about the new Spyder(if I can get the attachment to work)

1-981 Spyder to be announced this week at NYC auto show
2- 375 HP from 3.8L engine (same as GT4 detuned slightly to maintain GT superiority)
3-manual only for now
4- 981 spyder will continue 987 tradition of non-motorized cabriolet top, but redesigned for easier use on 981
5-$82,100

Nice, very nice. But in my opinion it is no where near as beautiful as the 987. PASM suspension is a minus, and that top just doesnt complete the concept. It seem like it is not detachable at all. Basically like a regular top with the wings and no motor. The old version looked good with and without the top, this one not so much.

A much bigger, and slightly heavier car. It just made my appreciation of the old version that much more.

I'm not sure it will be heavier, but the complexity of that top just irks me. I know a bunch of very vocal people complained about the last one, but I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I wish the simple top was an option.

Still... it's gorgeous, it has sport buckets, it has close to 400 hp, weighs less than 3000lbs, and its under $90k. Yes please.

I do have to admit that I'm kind of bummed that you can't run the sunshade by itself like the 987.2

Everything else I love... So glad I made the switch from the GT4... and I'm #1 at my dealership.

Amazing...didn't think they would go there! It is indeed 'awesome'. Priced quite reasonably too!
