Ironic how a British guy can enunciate the value and Raison d'etre of a German Porsche, infinitely better than the German fellow who's best suggestion is not to drive it because of emissions.

The Spyder looks great in the flesh. After doing so I'm glad I ordered the Black wheels and no tinted rear lights. (IMHO they look cheap and very Asian Tuner).

I have some minor things that were bugging me (stuff I can deal with)...

1. The rear interior of the top is odd with all the straps and bungie cord. Which when you are in the seat you don't really see it... more looking back... More with the camera flash.

The flap doors that you have to close when you lower to the roof are visible from the interior when the roof is up:

Oh and the blasted wart antenna:

How do you go about ordering the car but without the wart?
I agree the placement is horrible.

I went back again today to see the same Spyder at my dealer. I wanted to check out a couple things.

1. You can open the rear trunk lid partially without removing the flying buttress... you just detach the front electronic latch (internal or key fob) and it allows you the ability to open the hatch enough to access anything you need. Doesn't open 100% more like 60-70%.

2. When you close the roof the key needs to be in the ignition to get the electronic latch to close. After the fact, I wonder if you can use the key fob to close it? If you hold the unlock button on the fob it opens the roof front latch without the key in the ignition. I wonder if it works in the opposite order? (holding the lock button on the fob to secure the electronic latch???).

I thought I recognized that showroom ... I'm surprised Sunset had a Spyder. Last time I brought my car in for service there, all they had were SUV's and 911 Turbos... Are you ordering your Spyder from Sunset?
