I will be racing tonight and I plan to unshackle myself from my station here to get to the metro in exactly 22 minutes.

That was heartbreaking. I was looking to be fast in the race and just before the race I went to get a drink, came back and I had no sound. Tried to reset the sound and ended up crashing iracing and thus booted from the race. Hopefully next week I'll be problem free.

Excellent start up front, side-by-side in the first turn, then close racing the next couple of laps. Had a great battle with Chas and Andy until I mis-shifted exiting T5 and tank slapped it into the dirt. Managed to start catching up to Andy, when he went off somewhere ahead, then just coasted in to 4th.

Some new faces, too...good stuff!

Yeah, too bad Tom. We were close in qualy (3 hundredths). I feel much better about tonight's race compared to last week where I binned it. Times were consistent and I picked up speed throughout the race. Next week is a classic combination, hopefully you don't get a mechanical DNF again

Next week (S3 Wk2) happens to be SM @ LS as well, which means there will be a ton of official practice sessions, hosted sessions, and great information in the Star Mazda S3 Wk2 thread on the iRacing forum for help with setups including known quality shared setups posted. I won't be there next week because of work but there is a lot of stuff going on with SM @ LS outside of Rennlist if you want extra practice.

For now they're still at Brands Hatch till the end of the weekend, though. About to turn some laps for that now.

I'm also doing some stints in the Lotus 79 @ Spa this week to work towards my Road A license.

I am just happy I am not that much off the pace. There was a time there when I got really angry about the NTM. Then again, there was a time I could win races until Justin showed up.

well I just discovered that my favorite series (mixed proto/GT, 1 hour races) has been scrapped in favor of the 25 minute gt only/hpd only series. boo, iracing

so I need to find a new series to participate in or I'll probably sit out season 3 completely. I'll check out the SM races and if I don't get my *** handed to me too badly I'll stick around

They have a very helpful community. Bunch of aliens in there like anywhere else, but it's a fun series to run. This is my second time trying to complete the schedule, only made 7 rounds last season unfortunately.

my goal is to be top 5 in my split, usually a somewhat realistic goal (at least in past series).

where I really need help is people sharing setups, at least until I learn to develop them myself.
