bummer

it was a good race, Pat and I had a nice little battle there for a while, and Elliot kept Justin honest

on to next week....Lime Rock? car?

I like keeping one car in rotation for a few races in a row but I think this is 3 in a row for the SM, time to swap it for something else?

Sorry I missed it guys...twisted my knee sometime on Tuesday and by last night it was distractingly throbbing. I should be good-to-go next week.

Are we going with the Radical @ Lime Rock?

Lime Rock in the Radical sounds ... well... Radical. Sorry couldn't resist. I actually just downloaded the radical last week so I could definitely use the practice and set up tips.

I have no sets for the Radical, but love LRP. The short laps make for some quick mastery of the course.

Because of a quirk in some training at work, I'll be here for the next three Wednesday. Win.

Yeah, gotta make sure to uncheck fuel and tires before pitting. I usually try to set that all up on the grid. I also hold the brake when I engage 1st gear because sometimes the car jumps a bit clicking into first.

I think I've got to set up a mic, because texting and driving is gonna kill me. Overall it was a pretty good race; I managed to run a pretty good pace and set a couple personal bests in practice and qualy.

Radical at LRP sounds like a blast. Which configuration are we using? Should we do 2 more races with the radical after this one?

I say we use the Radical for the rest of August (15, 22, 29) and then switch to a new car in September.

and yeah Justin, get a mic! texting and driving is dangerous!

Oulton Park no Chicane? LRP only really has 1 passing zone

how many people have Oulton Park?

it's a fun track (especially in a formula car or the Radical) but I suspect not many people have it.

PS welcome to Rennlist!

Would prefer to stick with LRP this week as its a personal favorite, but I do own Oulton.

3rd race this week in GA, 3rd crash (taken out again on lap 3 or so). managed to claw my way back to 4th so a decent result, but still.....I can't recall crashing out of three official races in a row in any other series (except rookie stuff).

might need to re-think this strategy.....

Might be some week 2 voodoo or something. I've done three official SM races and each one had problems. One was a weird server issue, got booted three times. Bad points but great for SR as I just tooled around in sixth all day. Another I locked up an unbalanced car and was flung off the track approaching the corkscrew. The third was another server issue, finished a lap down. Blah.

No on track incidents with other cars. Just a weird week.
