I'm not an oval racing fan. Yes, Indy has an infield... but overall Indy Road will get about as much use as the F1 car on my system (which is pretty much zero outside of the first day I bought the F1.) I'm not a big "wing car" fan either.
No worries man - I'll catch you guys next week. I'll spend tonight in the garage instead.

The car is a handful @ Indy Road. Best with a bit of practice is around 1:14.xxx.
How many laps will be running for the race?

I'd estimate 15-16 laps.
PS I have a few sets I'll be sharing as well. also, per the iracing forum a Silverstone set works reasonably well here too.

Yup...brainfarted, but got it.
That was a blast, despite my pedestrian pace. Not fond of the F1 car, but probably due to inferior pedals. I did get a Bodnar cable which increased resolution, but still just don't have a good feel with braking.
Looking forward to next week...

That was a blast. I agree the F1 car is very difficult. Video of my terrible driving forthcoming. I only recorded up to where I passed Russell again and immediately ended up in the sand trap.

and this was a great case study in why we do these as fixed setup races...someone shows up with a hot setup, waxes the field, and doesn't have the courtesy to share it.
please people...if you want to do open setup races....share your sets! it's not that hard
anyway....DP at the Glen next week. boot with or without the bus stop?

Yeah, the F1 car is very difficult to drive, but it's a great way to learn how to moderate that right foot. The sand trap incident was a classic case of you guys getting too excited over the possibility of moving up an extra position! I know that every mistake that I made came from getting on the gas too quickly.
