NHTSA could be another stick for Porsche to get their act together and come up with a permanent fix. Here's the link to report it to NHTSA, the more reports they get, more pressure it'd put on Porsche as there will be an NHTSA investigation not just customer complaining about intermittent issue:

I reported. Everyone else should as well.

Just another quick update. My eHybrid has been at the dealer for well over 30 days. Still sitting there in the elements with no fix.

do you know the CEL code number?

you have established “lemon” status with 30 days+ out of service - but there is _NO_ fix currently available for certain CEL codes (see this thread) - but the vehicle is drivable with no risk the lemon status…

I get one or two CEL’s a week - I check them - log them and clear them - and drive the vehicle - I’m hoping for software fix before the end of the calendar year - but that is simply hope vs. any actual knowledge.

I didn't even bother to ask which codes show up. Yes, I'm in California and can begin the lemon law process with a lawyer. However, I've asked PCNA nicely to just buy the car back so I can move on to another Porsche. Either way, I'm pretty sure this will take some time...not too happy about it.

what are you planning to get - not a lot of inventory of anything - you might be better negotiating some accommodations from porsche and getting the software fix - should be ready before year end but who knows - pm me fir what sort of bonus you can get from porsche if you don’t go buy back route

CEL came back on. Drove it 400 miles without one.

took it to dealer again and here are the work details.

so definitely the same U012200 PSM comm fault another user here got. It’s not persistent as you can see from below. Fault was inactive when they scanned and PSM was working correctly.

dealer indicated PAG is aware of issue but no resolution yet.

Dave, I’m curious. Do you charge the cayenne from the same Taycan charger? At 240v?

I can almost expect a CEL if I charge it with the 240v setup for my Taycan. But I have never gotten a CEL right after charge cycle with a 120v.

so far always with a 240V charger - either the one that came with my Taycan or the one that came with the Cayenne (identical PMCC model number - both at 240V @ 40 amps).

Last one I promise. It’s getting too easy. Even beloved Henry Catchpole from Carfection was hit.

Does the vehicle drive and perform normally with the CEL on?
