I'm waiting.

My wife got her 2nd check for her 2015 Touareg TDI last week but she had gone in in mid July for the first inspection.

I'm still waiting. Unless it came in the big bundle of mail we had held for a week while out of town and I accidentally threw it away.

^^^ should sign up for USPS informed delivery. The post office scans and sends you an email of mail that is going to be delivered

I have appointment for Wednesday, if I get the fix and after that immediately trade in the CD can I run in to a problem of not getting the rest of the money ?

Unlike Needsdecaf, I don't think so. Once the job is done, the dealer affix the two EPA/CARB stickers and reports to the settlement people, right? I assume the settlement people then sends you the second half check. What you do after the fix, such as trading it, is your prerogative. The trade in dealer, if he does due diligence, will notice the stickers and know it is a fixed CD and may offer you less $$. Who knows

Yes, but do you automatically get mailed a check? Or do you need to go into the portal and request it. I would think the lag would preclude
Getting the second half payment.

Pretty sure it's all on autopilot once you register and get the 1st VIN verification.

The repair should trigger the payment, once the dealer logs it into the system. I haven't read anything saying there's additional action required by owners.

I'm looking forward to reading what the fix has done to the vehicle.

Awesome. I'll be looking forward to it. I hope that the changes are imperceptible.

My CD is at the dealer for the re-flash. Be sure you have your claim number with you or can look it up from a long past email. My dealer did not receive this special sticker that goes on a loaner car form. They made an executive decision to proceed with the re-flash. Stay tuned.

Oops this takes more time than I thought: get the loaner.
