what more features does it have? I have the Pro S mini and don’t see features I am missing as I don’t have other versions to compare it with.

I think it's more to do with the number of vehicles it will support, and features for those vehicles, as from my understanding it's the previous version of the OS... When I first started looking at these, there were so many available that I reached-out to the company in China to ask about several different versions that mostly looked the same. The told me the feature set for the Pro Mini was the same as the Pro (or Pro V, don't recall ATM) but just a smaller tablet, but that the ProS Mini was less capable... I'd imagine it may not come into play except for newer vehicles, or newer features that require different HW, so you may not even notice a difference depending on what you use it for.

FYI, for those who have bought the x431 check to see whether updates are available often. In a couple of months there have been 2 Porsche updates and 0 Audi and VDub ones for example. It doesn't seem to be at regular intervals, just whenever.

Kudos to LAUNCH: the 23.80 Porsche update that I just loaded fixed the problem of the Rear Differential Lock not being accessible!

I've a '15 Cayenne Turbo- question re the Launch X431 updating process- Is a PC required to update Launch X431 or can one update it with a MAC (w/o windows) ?
. Was looking at Foxwell hand held just to clear oil change, read/clear some codes but learned that can't update with a MAC- needs a PC.

Previously had a Durametric Pro but sold it when i sold my '07 TT since its not best on 958.2 Cayenne- have no code reader/coder now but also don't have a PC or windows on my MAC. Looking for something for awhile but not sure i want to spend $900-1100 on this as i prob won't use much of the coding- just the oil change, battery & perhaps reading clearning some codes.

You don't need windows or a Mac. It's a stand alone unit. All you need is wifi.

Launch X431 is a waste of money. I was not able to do steering wheel calibration with Launch x431 pro. A member helped me with his PIWIS II and boom. Working like a charm!

I should have saved the money and bought PIWIS II instead.

I saw this menu item the other day and thought the name was interesting. Googling led me to VW forums about its feature. So when you spray your windshield, the wipers will wipe a few times. What teardrop wipe is, is that after the wipers stop, it will wait like 10 seconds and wipe 1 more time to get rid of the "teardrops". NEAT!

If I am performing this Teardrop function, do I need to change the coding value to Yes? and Int. value to yes? I did this but it is not working, do I have to wait a certain time? Any help is appreciated. thanks

I wondered why Porsche didn't have this. My wife's Lexus has a tear-drop function and it's quite useful.

I don't know why Porsche didn't give us ALL the options... They are already capable, why not just add them to all the menu's. Doesn't cost them anything.

My 13 year old Touareg has this...

Re. x431 is a waste of money, let's see what your updates cost you with PIWIS.

Yeah - but it wouldn't make them anything. I'd be happy to pay $30-50 to enable that feature.

I'm not sure they would even do it if you ask. They may not be aware it can be done. Can a piwis turn it on?
