Cayenne Coding - The Ultimate Guide & Discussion

I am not certain the front end start stop areas have to be coded out or not. I coded the front end ones months ago but still the star/stop worked per the factory programming. Only after finding start/stop in AC coding section does the start stop resume in the position it was in when the ignition was turned off.

Have a 2014 CD, installed the OEM tow package, including module. Dealer can't get me in for over a month to activate so found someone who has cloned PIWIS locally. I have the 92A trailer install guide and it has a page with the steps to activate module in PIWIS. Is there any reason these steps would be any different in the cloned PIWIS software? I would think being that the software is a clone, it would be identical and steps would be the same, but anyone know different or done the activation themselves via PIWIS?

No I was just wondering, is that the version you have or are you shopping for or someone you know has one?. The latest is I believe 41.6xx,, I'll be upgrading to 41.400 as soon as I get my new Lenovo as the one I have is just slower than watching paint dry given the mediocre state of PIWIS software. Another alternative is to see if someone in your neck of the woods has a Launch x431 or equivalent. GL

Got it. That's the version the local person has. I am likely going to get one myself after I see how it well it works. I had been reading about Launch x431 but I thought it couldn't code the tow? I almost bought one off Amazon until I read that

Since we're not talking about a very recent car model, Launch should be able to cover this. It's certainly not as complete as PIWIS depending on what you want to do, but it covers the essentials and beyond, not least is that if you have other stallions in your stable it covers just about every one in the universe (except unicorns of course).

@rnlst_log is the wizard, my Piwis needed a file update and he just went ahead and did it all through TeamViewer including the coding for the tow kit 👍
So he gets one more virtual golden trophy 🏆

I've asked the Higher Power if there was anyway we could give an award to @rnlst_log for the incredible help he has provided to so many people but alas nothing came of it.
Shame, he really and across all models deserves our immense gratitude for his patience, knowledge and wisdom. Just wish there was a more concrete way to show it.
Will be upgrading laptop and PIWIS this coming week as I need the CAMPAIGN feature in 41.4xx, his magic touch will be essential.

Does anyone know if it's possible to code out the "Observe Surroundings" message that appears at the top of the reverse camera feed for a while when it starts? It's ironic, since I realize it's reminding us to look around and not rely on the camera, but the message blocks the top-most area of the camera where incoming cars coming down the road are often hiding when backing out of a diagonal parking space. And thus, it's actually pretty dangerous having the message sitting there in the way. Would love to get rid if it if possible.
