2015 car but as you can see even then I'm having to change and reflash some modules which is scary.

Mine is an early 2016, but I’m a bit behind TDS at this point. Still waiting on harnesses and cables.

Ok, I see. I thought you guys were making a big leap. Like from 958.1 to 958.2 or later. Because if you were, it might be worth the hassle. We have a 2012 CTT and I'm to the point now of ditching the whole PCM and going with an aftermarket head unit. And still may. Because I really don't NEED the pcm. If I could keep the functionality of the little multi function display in the gauge cluster, I could completely remove the PCM and not miss it. I know about the whole joyauto thing but it seems to buggy for me.

I feel your pain. The 2008 Touareg was the last year that didn't have a bunch of stuff migrated to the PCM and I could thus dump VDub's double DIN RNS model and Nav and go with aftermarket. As of 09, the HU became the center piece of pain and aggravation. It currently sports a Kenwood

No, not selling my 08...

Exactly. I just put a double din Alpine in my daily driver Subaru. With the Alpine, a couple of amps, speakers, and an under the seat sub it has transformed the car. I think it all centers around the android auto. The only drawback to my Subies system is that I have to plug my phone in every time I get in the car. A small price to pay in my book.

I kept the premium Dynaudio and just swapped the HU. Navtek sucked big time, expensive, out of date and a pain to update and the rest really didn't do anything for me on the RNS model. Just swapped out a sub on the passenger side rear door, the rest is still stock on my 08.

I think I would do the same on the Cayenne. The Subie needed a full system. I think the Cayenne just needs a modern head unit with android auto.

No it's sound package plus with the ASK amplifier but I think it sounds quite good with the pcm4 bizarrely. It's much louder.

Has anyone ever found a way to program your own hitch towing model? I want to install the factory hitch and module myself but the dealer wants to charge me $495 to program it...

VAG-COM does not support Porsche coding. VAG is only for Audi/VDub/Skoda and Lambos.

Hi Guys,

I am thinking of buying the Launch x-431 V or V+ but I am wondering if any of you guys tried the Level Control / PASM special functions?
My plan is to change my front air suspension struts but I need to be able to calibrate / bleed the strut / system.

Much appreciated!
