My 2012 6MT has fewer miles, but alas is black, so I guess I can get 210 for it .

Too much diving and not enough driving.

Truer than you know. I'm diving in the Mediterranean now, and have done 191 dives so far this year. I've been gone all but a few days since June! Can't wait to get back to driving in a couple of more weeks!

Great result! What color is your '12? Sound like you have a nice stable.

Wow! So you made a quick 40k on the first car AND got a good deal on the second one. Strong work! And the wife must be pretty relaxed about it now .

Great result! It looks like the buyer had been silent for a couple days following auction. Did he come through?

What do you guys think of this car? PCCB from factory. Might be risking by posting here without a deposit, but I'm ready to trade my RS7 in for this. PPI noted broken cupholder and CD tray, cracking spark plugs, failed hydraulics on rear wing and TPMS sensors need replacing. These all seem really minor. Plugs/coils should be less than $1k, I'd probably get the eRAM kit for spoiler and TPMS I can change myself as well. How has this car sat since June?? Is tiptronic THAT bad?

that is a tiptronic car.... actually a great cruiser but that tranny might be disappointing after coming from a RS7 plus you have to consider the typical .1 fixes that need to be done at some point. But for that kind of money.. a lot of car.
(if you are doing the plugs and coils, might as well deal with the coolant pipes.. I assure you that is not $1K ... plugs / coils, oil change, air cleaner were $1200 for my .2 car.)

Probably way different experience. I'm sure the initial power/transmission won't be as good but will I be disappointed in the package? The tip is actually that bad? I just feel like I've seen tips go for 70-75k so for one to be at 65k and sitting, seems unreal.
Been feeling the weight in the rs7 recently and want something lighter. I debated TTRS even but it seems like not owning a 996/7 is a mistake.

So far there's been no note of coolant lines being pinned/welded but that's on my radar for sure if not already done. Oil change was done by dealer already, thought it may need brake fluid flush and diff fluid flush. What else would be left to do really? As is, RS7 rear brakes and tires are gonna run me close to $4k, the 997 seems like it'll be cheaper to own lol

believe it or not.. the tiptronic works well with a turbo engine and it is bullet proof. It just isn't the PDK and you might be disappointed in the downshifts. You will have to drive it.

That's what I've heard too. I'm assuming because of the longer gears that it may even be less of an issue. Can some of the sluggishness be tuned out?

Honestly still hard to believe it's sitting for 4 months at this dealer when I've seen others sell for 70-75k within a few days

that car has been on auto trader for a while now. relatively speaking, in 997 TT terms, miles are on the high side which is another reason i think the price seems low. if you look at all the 997TT currently for sale on auto trader right now, that car is at the top end. i wouldn't hesitate because of the mileage but i think that like others have said if you are coming from an RS7 the transmission might be disappointing. i am a manual guy at heart but the DSG in my RS3 is an amazing gearbox.

Yeah absolutely mind-blowing to me that it has...do people just want to buy cars with 30k miles max? These engines are tanks from what I know so I don't know why it would scare people off. 5000mi/yr is really really good for 14 years, and despite the price just the fact it's still for sale is what seems crazy to me. 30k miles sells instantly at 75k. Almost feel like the mileage doesn't matter here as the age would require maintenance anyways. I have thought about tuning the RS7 and adding swaybars etc but...I kinda just want a coupe. Never owned a manual so I'm not beholden to it though I would consider. so far I have owned:
2006 A3 DSG k04 -> 2015 S4 DSG stage 2 -> 2016 RS7 stock
