Yeah, that background looks very familiar. Nothing on their website. Buyer beware.

So the bringatrailer GT3 with two accidents sold for.... 75K. Everyone on that forum is saying that pretty much sets the new price for the 997.1 GT3. ANy comments on this from anyone following that auction?
BTW the last 2007 GT3 that sold on manheim acutions was an 18k miles white car that sold for 95K with a score of 3.6 out of 5. It sold in July.

How does a 3 accident car that's been repainted and has/had structural damage set the benchmark for all .1 GT3s? Answer: it doesn't.
And to be fair, I'm not entirely sure $75k is even what could be considered a deal for that car. Keep in mind that after the BAT buyer's premium, that number is closer to $80k. So the buyer is essentially getting a $10k-$15k discount in exchange for a 5 owner car with a bunch of stories. Not my idea of a deal. YMMV.

Makes the ones PNH has been sitting on look like absolute bargains.

Basically a $200k markup for the color. Not for me but you never know.

The guy that buys that (if there is one) already has at least 1 997 4.0. It isn’t an either/or buyer. It’s a guy that wants every must-have 997 GT car. and, like it or not, the green 997.1rs is one of top 2-3 desired 997s to own. It just is. And, yes, I’m talking my book. And yes, anywhere near these prices, it tests just how much someone wants this particular must-have in the collection.

But, here’s an example to better illustrate: any color 991rs is worth more than any non-green equivalent condition 997.1rs (maybe save delivery mile examples but even that would be close). A green 997.1rs IS worth more than a green pts 991.1rs on today’s mkt (regardless of the recent RL ad). And I’m fairly certain there were more green 997.1rs than every variant of green pts added together in 991.1rs.
Separately, I’ve been offered lower mileage pts 997.2rs’s plus cash for my green 997.1rs. We all know a white 7.2 trades well over a white 7.1rs.
Who knows, 2yrs from now, mkt could come to its senses and be rational about how it prices green 7.1rs’s? For right now it’s not.
The market is searching for a price point that brings a few of these out for sale. To date, there’s continued to be more buyers than sellers of frogs. At 350k, if it trades, my prediction is that you will see a few pop up. For now, it’s just an asking price.

^^^let me paraphrase my own blathering: yeah, it’s absolute insane pricing for paint.
It might be one of biggest color premiums in the market. I think the Rivi/MX color premiums on anything 993 are in a similar category (anything 993 wide-body for sure). I think the smurf turbos are 2x any other color?
