The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
#1231
How long has it been listed? Yellow sports car going into winter, I would think that they have minimal interest at $99k but it may need to sit for a while to soften them up on price. As you noted, it has a lot of interesting option choices that make it unique, which isn't necessarily a good thing unless you like that particular spec (imo).
If you like it and want it, have a thorough PPI done, note what range the over-revs are found, that you want to do coolant pipes (known weak point), any other maintenance that may be needed and offer 85k today. They won't like it, but those things make a difference in the market place.

Nah, I've fielded a dozen+ offers at/above 100k for the 36K mile 997.2 GT3 I'm selling. 90-95 is a motivated seller or a car with a story in my opinion

If that's the truth, you should take it. I know of two silver 997.2's with no stories in the 30-40k mile range that sold in the last month. Had to go to 92 and 95 to find buyers. Both clean DME's, no paintwork etc. Your car looks very nice, but those are the selling figures we're seeing.

The BAT car has non original seats with stitching that doesn't match the rest of the interior and a cigarette burn. The Carfax report shows an accident where a fixed object off the road was hit. It also has a non oem bumper. Not sure this is a no stories car. I am guessing it will sell for $90k max with BAT fees included.

Also wondering.

Because I feel it's worth more than the offers I've received and I'm not in a position to have to sell it?
Funny coincidence that all the people that think a 997.2 is worth 92 are buyers, not sellers.
I wouldn't sell my 20k mile 997.1 for 92.

I'd probably let mine go for around 102 right now. It has a clean carfax, clean over rev report, clean ppi, a full clearbra on the front, no track history that I can tell, no major defects, new MPSC2 tires, and pretty well optioned with a 132K sticker so that's what I feel it's worth.

That's a fair viewpoint and it's your car so of course you can do as you please, however what I posted is what the market seems to be bearing at this point. Moving into the winter months also won't help. GL on the sale

Of course we don't know the full details of the cars either, were they tracked, did they have clean over rev reports, what were the options, did it need a set of 2k tires, were the rotors cracked, any previous damage or paintwork etc etc...Any one of those factors can dramatically change the 'value' of the car.
I agree most people don't buy cars in the winter though but most people don't drive these things year round anyway.

When were 997.2 RS's selling for 350k ever? Seems like PNH asked a crazy price to see if someone would pay it and now have adjusted to market. Seemed to me like clean low mileage .2 RS were around 250k +/- 25k.
