I believe it. But correlation is not necessarily causation. Could be that cars with buckets were those that had more track time, and that was the catalyst for the “discount”. Either way, no buckets for me except for dedicated track cars.

Haha it is a good time to be a seller. Unfortunate for buyers though. It was already hard to get in one of these and now it is becoming even more so.

Not a good time if you want a good or even a fair buy. Only person who would see this as the time to buy would be someone who’s shopping with a blank check and wants the absolute best. I bet some people with super amazing examples that said they would never sell are very tempted to sell for the right price. But almost nobody buys a car this way so not a god time to buy a car.

Would love to hear what @switchcars thinks about the result of that PCAR auction. Doug, were you surprised by that result? Is this the new normal for ultra low mile GT3s or an anomaly?

I’m not really concerned with price speculation anymore. The market is what it is, and people have become obsessed with $$ instead of the car itself. A GT3 hasn’t gotten 100% better since 2019, yet somehow now that they cost twice as much everyone wants one.
This thread was nearly dead two years ago when the cars were just as much fun to drive and half the price.

I’ll happily weigh in anytime on the cars themselves.

I'm not sure if people have become obsessed with prices, but in a "for sale" thread, there are only two relevant topics; The quality of the car being offered and the price being asked for the car. So naturally, price is always part of the discussion. Price matters to members here who are looking to buy, and price matters to members who may be willing to sell. Your input on price trends could have added value to the discussion.
Anyway, thanks for chiming in.

^^ THIS. When I bought in 2018, this forum was pretty quiet. I'm happy with the revived interest with these cars.

I also thought I will never sell this car, its simply the best car IMO, but now I dont know.....

well I'll be. $182k + fees. I'm shocked honestly. I don't get it, and I just need to go drive & stop watching all this madness.
I've had my CL's apart these past couple days just to have something to do,... get moly grease all over myself. I need to get some in my eyes so I don't watch these auctions

I saw the car at Porsche of Colorado Springs, they fully disclosed the paint reading on the door and remarked they thought it was likely from a repair, meaning they took it in that way and were aware of it.

PCCB- No question. Once you go yellow, you never go back.
Full Leather- Absolutely. Transforms the interior into such a nice space.
FAL- Definitely a nice-to-have but I would not pass up a car without it unless I needed the lift for my own driveway or garage.
Yep I would agree my wife won’t even ride in it with buckets, I shrink wrapped my 18way-heated before I had 10k miles on them… Incase I ever was forced to sell.

lol ya I have the buckets in mine and my wife refuses to ride in it. It just amplifies the already hard ride. I love it but I am now looking to get another softer more livable fun car to complement the GT3.
