A color being most common or rarest doesn't always mean most common will sell for a discount and rarest will sell for a premium. I've seen many black/silver 997.1 GT3's go for bottom tier pricing while white and other more in demand colors get a premium. Same is true for the 997.1 3RS in terms of pumpkins were the most produced but they get a premium over the silver/black 997.1 3RS's.
That’s interesting that the pumpkin ones pull a premium!
Finally got the new-to-me 997.1 from Auto Kennel out of the garage for a quick spin for some pictures. Really digging the Slate Grey Metallic color even more than I expected. I need to take it for a proper drive on a good road at more than a cruising speed, but initially it is just as everyone has said - much more analogue/raw than the 981 GT4. More feedback in the steering and chassis, the gearbox is way more mechanical, and the mezger really rumbles the whole car, which I love. Surprisingly quiet under light driving. The brake feel is quite different than the heroic/unflappable PCCBs on the GT4 but I am confident I'll come to appreciate the more progressive steel feel on the 997.1 as well.
crazy to think how much more money i would've made had i sold my car now instead of 2019
Yes, but if you took that money any put it into anything tangible you're in fine shape. It's not like these cars are outpacing inflation. I'd say they are close to stable. My GT3 would still cost about 1/3 of what an average home costs in my area. When I bought the car in 2018 the same was true.
