Oh yes, its pie-in-the-sky for an asking price. But, you never know these days, lol.

HOWEVER Steve...if you disagree and think that .2 GT3s should not sell for that....I'd love to pry that blue car out of your hands....while fighting off the others also vying for it.

I'll bet he gets it. Or close. There isn't much else going right now in a .2. There's the black one which isn't my gig, and the red one that was at the Chevy dealer that nobody was able to get to the bottom of, and they are priced the same more or less. This car looks really nice. The white console and other bits show well. Low miles. PCCB. And it's in California where everything we do somehow costs more. It doesn't have leather, but that's not a deal killer. I think that if all 997.2 RS are trading at an average of $240k then $169k makes sense.

Kevin, lets Run a canyon to PCH this weekend. I'll have my exhaust on, hopefully.

We all blasted that Beverly Hills private party white .2 at 160k and then 170k. Even Doug joined in and said his peace. Now we all accept that the .2 is a 170k car? Heck I paid the same price for my .1 Rs with 15,460 miles. Are we now saying that a non Rs is worth more than an RS? Just food for conversation.

On the topic any guesses on what the final bid will be on the Pcarmarket 2400 mile .2 GT3 will be?

I can really see this auction going either way. I kind of feel like this car is in no-man's land. On one hand, it's pristine and ultra-low mileage so it should fetch top dollar but on the other hand, it's missing some options that the collectors seem to be willing to pay absurd amounts for. I'll guess $175k.
I think the one big option it is missing for a collector quality car is PCCB’s and probably buckets. FAL, leather, and carbon fiber options don’t really have much of an effect on resale value of these 997 GT cars, but they have a lot more of an effect on the 991 GT cars. The color is average for a .2 GT3 even though it is rare. Not gonna command a huge premium, not gonna hurt the value of the car. But I think you are spot on with $175k.

I retract my prediction. I just did a quick click on the link, saw the front end and the stickers and assumed it was an RS. You know what they say about assumptions! So... not being an RS, It's probably $20-30k high on the asking price IMO.

^^Ahh, Back to earth. Yes, this guys is asking the moon for the car, which means he's not really worried if it doesn't sell.

My hope is .2 RS will come back down a bit and .2 non-RS will stabilize and comes back down to earth. Doesn't help anybody if these cars becomes too expensive and isn't driven.

It's hard to say in the current environment. The really nice .2 RS on sale right now are getting into the mid 200s. That's crazy insane to me but if they're getting even close their asking price then the .2 non-RS being 100k less looks like a steal. Especially given the .2 RS and non-RS have similar production numbers in the US.

Here's the real question, what would you rather have a .1RS or a .2 non RS? I was in that boat a wee bit back and choose the .1RS, even though I wanted to experience the driving dynamics of the .2. Oh well.....
