so far from reading the rennlist history… this new owner bought it 6 months ago for about $150k. The previous Texas owner had it for years and he reported here in the forum that commonly leaked oil… yet he only drove it 3000 miles.

It spent the beginning of its life as a press/track car.

Sellers say “minor damage” in the descriptions however carfax shows frame damage. It has 2 chips one on the wing and one on the front and bolster is shot and one member said the smog wasn’t in ready state, but that’s an easy fix.

Doug told many members to
”hard pass” in March because he has a ‘large’ file on it.

seems like an ok candidate for a pure track car, crappy thing is id still need to spend $ pinning the lines, replace the LSD etc.

when mint .1 RSs are now selling for over 300k, is 119 for this car really that crazy?

How many GT3 RS have been and will be built in a manual after the 997.2 4.0, I think it’s zero right? If that stays true then won’t the 7.2 RS probably be one of the most collectible cars ever?

997.2 GT3 is already there. Here's the BAT results for 2018 GT3 There were 21 of them at auction on BAT year to date. There were only 2 997.2 GT3 this year.

A 56 mile 2018 GT3 6 speed sold for $209,500 on 8/21. If it were a 997.2 with similar mileage it would be a bit higher.

And look how many 2019 GT3 RS and GT3 there were. Shocking 2019 BAT GT3 GT3RS

And there were 17 2019 GT3 RS auctioned this year alone on BAT. Lots of flipping, some coming back to the small form factor. 997 owners are hanging on to them. Even more so with 997.2

$119k for a 997 GT3 is a bargain compared to what the 997 GT3 RS are selling for.
